Carlton Lodge Hotel and Suites

It was clean, nicely maintained and didn’t smell Of weed (we’ve dealt with this so much lately).

They charges us much more than we were being charged on booking when we booked it. When I spoke with the “employee” about it…he “guessed” it was a fee?!? I wasn’t entirely sure he was really awake or had a clue. Dirty sweatshirt, ratty hair and face. Not helpful. We have never gotten any other help with this matter either.

I was close to where I needed to be

This place had a smell that was nasty. Said no pets but we opened to door to go outside and my kids were face to face with a pitbull coming inside. Was not expecting that with a special needs child.

Easy to find and close to local amenities. Friendly staff.

Interior is a little dated but at the same time it is understandable do to the local areas connection with racing.

Had no hot breakfast available. No coffee running at any point outside of breakfast. Night attendant did not note late check out.

We always love coming here, the staff is exceptional like perry he is so calm and understanding, he's very upfront and holds his professional role equally to his other workers, very accommodating, we enjoy seeing him on the weekends, the gentleman who works the nights during the week is also fantastic, very nice and funny, he also remembers you from past visits and brings friendly feelings and manners with him, the young ladies working in the morning and afternoon are just the dearest, so cute and funny, they are on top of anything needing done, any situation happening and I overheard a training session going on and I wanted to tell the lady how amazing of a job i felt she was doing, they also are bringing in and stocking the bathrooms with better supplies I attached a photo

Our stay this time was absolutely perfect, only complaint was that the people next to us was very loud and screaming in the hallways and kept slamming there door which kinda wasn't okay but I tried to go along with my day as usual, maybe if beer and alcohol could be stocked again that would be helpful and prolly would bring in more business

I liked the friendliness of the staff and how clean the rooms where.

The pool is tiny and they are selling day pass swimming passes for it making it even more crowded for the paying/staying guests. I also did not like that you could feel the springs through the mattress and the door for bathroom looked like some spilled paint on it. Everything needs to be updated it is stuck in the 1980s. Got the vibe that several of the guests lived there and it had a very ghetto vibe to it. All in all guest beware, they had a very good photographer/marketing person the photos are very deceiving. This place is not worth the $200 a night to stay there. I will not be staying here again and will make sure to warn those I know.

Proximity to Adrian college.

Breakfast - trays of food were empty at 910 am when we arrived. No more food was provided. Only 1 of 2 waffle makers were working and that was all that there was left to eat.
