Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott San Francisco Airport

Beware this hotel is under major renovation as you enter front desk area and in parking garage. The website is not what even the updated rooms look like. The lighting is cheap dorm room. Beds were comfy enough but Our tub was broken. The jacuzzi is no longer and still pictured on the website. Avoid.

Location was perfect for where zi needed to go. Being near the 101 makes getting up and down the Peninsula a breeze. Getting up to the city is also simple, if you don't travel at rush hour. Continental breakfast was much more than a continental. Eggs muffins bacon and a waffles along with juices and a few fruits. You will be full and ready to start the day. Room was nice bathroom was big enough and good strong shower. Soap shampoo and conditioner are plentiful. Good towels. Room was nice and clean. Easy to control temperature of room. Front desk personnel were all friendly helpful and efficient. My only negative was the parking charge. I was aware ahead of time but its not as if you are in the city. Hotels in the suburbs are normally free parking so the extra hefty charge just seems excessive. You are staying in their hotel so it appears greedy. When you are already planning on spending money on your trip the parking charge from the hotel you are staying at just hits hard. I could have parked on the street for free but I wasnt comfortable. I don't know if the parking lot had security cameras, I assumed they did. Stay was nice, Room comfortable,nice big windows,bed linens were o.k.bed was clean, good t.v. hotel appears modern and clean. There is a snack and ithe things you may need in a room off the loby open 24hrs. You just pay whomever is working check in. Very good customer service.

Breakfast was not what I expected, it was in the lobby and very limited. the staff was very confused with the billing, and over charged me for my stay. It was up to me to contact the credit card company and the hotel accountant to resolve the issue. not very professional. The hotel is remodeling and did not have any bottled water or other food items to purchase. the tap water in this area is not the best, so if you didn't bring water with you...

There was no advanced warning that the hotel was still under construction so I was a bit taken aback when arriving to a half-built lobby. For an hotel that brands itself as an "SFO" hotel, not having an airport shuttle is a missed opportunity. I had to change rooms from the first one I entered, as it was not thoroughly cleaned. There were brown stains on the sheets, grime on all the flat surfaces, and hair/debris on the carpets. The second room was somewhat better, but the carpet needed a thorough vacuum. Build quality of the renovations seemed very poor, with creaking floors and poorly-designed bathroom door. I don't think I will return. Only plus in my book was location next to the BART/CalTrain station at Millbrae a few blocks away.

There was nothing I did not like off the top of my head. Perhaps some more comfortable chairs in the lobby would be nice.
