"Excellent"

Very good value. AC was a little noisey and a fridge in the room would have been nice. Otherwise all good.

"Fine if you like white van men… "

The hotel was fine, staff were nice and friendly and the room was perfectly fine. There was however (and it might just be because COVID is stopping other types of visitors) an overwhelming feeling that this is a stop over for lorry drivers and tradesmen. Guys in the bar being loud and drinking shots when I arrived and constant banging of doors and shouting in the corridors at various times of the night made it feel a bit like a youth hostel. The car park was filled with white vans when I arrived and (I parked around the back at the electric charge points) it didn’t feel particularly safe for a solo female traveller. I am a very confident solo traveller and I travel a lot for work so maybe not so great for someone who isn’t so confident looking for a relaxing break. I was awoken a few times in the night by doors being banged and raised voices. Luckily I travel with ear plugs to block out the worst of it.

"Good"

Stay was nice but did not have an iron in the room.. We booked to stay the Saturday night and hoping to have a lie in on the Sunday morning as check out was not until 12 pm and the cleaners were outside our room talking loudly and making lots of noise then knocked the door when we were not checking out until 12 pm which was ok ..

"Would recommend!!"

Very impressed. Unfortunatelt air con wasnt very cold in a heatwave lol!! Shame no sweetners in the refreshments pack. Brill otherwise though. Great decor. Very reasonable price as booked last minute. Menu looked nice

"Exceptional"

Stayed on a Saturday night. Covid restrictions were reassuringly adhered to. Despite the location and exterior, it was extremely clean and modern. Special mention to the man on reception/bar who was exceptional- made us feel welcome and made time for a chat even when it was busy. Would recommend
