"Great for a weekend stay"

Came down from The North to celebrate grandson’s birthday. Hotel was good staff were friendly although we didn’t eat at the hotel as were able to stay at son’s after a couple of days.

"Just the job!"

Just the job for an overnight stay to watch the football. My son and I stayed over and went to watch Leicester play and being on the M1 it was easy. Clean and friendly. Room was warm and bar was open when we got back so happy overall. Would stay there again.

"Disgusting food"

The food was absolutely shocking!!! I really don’t understand how the chef can call himself one!! Another thing the portion sizes are a joke?! Paying over £10 for a meal which is the size of a kids meal!!! Sort the chef out and take him back to Big cook and little cook and teach him how to cook properly! and sort out the menu and your portion sizes!!!

"Xmas stay"

Great stay , clean comfortable room , although limited staff as it was Xmas ,nothing was to much trouble , the two lads on reception were great as was the young lady cleaning the rooms , needed shower gel and towels changed no problem this was done immediately , we are frequent visitors to The Ibis Rugby East and can never fault it .

"Freezing cold, no heating and dirty room! "

The room was freezing cold, as the heating wasn't working and although we reported it to reception numerous times, it wasn't sorted until the early hours so I had to sleep with layers of clothes and my fleece on. The room was dirty with toe nail clippings and a pair of filthy socks by the bed on the floor!! We chose this hotel for the electric car charging but as the electrics had tripped the charger also wasn't working. Breakfast would have been good but as the restaurant was so cold the food was too!! Reception was toasty warm with a selection of heaters at their disposal, might have been useful to make them available to the paying guests!

The staff were really lovely and no faults except from the shower wasnt very painful and would drop in heat every now and then
