Somerset on the Pier Hobart

Lovely hotel and the room was spacious. I have knee problems so the stairs to the bedroom were difficult as the bathroom is on the first floor. I did not realise this when we booked. Also parking is awkward but possible with permits. Great views and close to everything waterfront.

Good Place

Room service is very minimal for each day. Only sheets were changed. we did 4 nights with kids and it was very hard to keep the apartment clean without the cleaning items available. For example vacuum would have been great or something to wipe things down if room service don’t do this.

Great location and staff. Rooms comfortable but a little tired and dated. Lovely to have a balcony.

An outstanding location with stunning views over the harbour. The room was exceptionally spacious, the bed comfortable and the kitchen well appointed. There were plenty of dining options nearby, we were close to everything and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bottle of wine was a very special touch as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and a significant birthday.

We had a very very nice stay at Somerset on the Pier. The reception staff were always friendly and welcoming and the property was overall very nice and comfortable and is in a fabulous position for exploring Hobart and the waterfront. Overall it was an extremely positive stay. The only feedback for improvement is that the lounge in our room has seen better days and needed replacement and the rooms are not very soundproof. In saying this - these things did not detract from our enjoyment of Somerset on the Pier.

lack of parking and no internal restaurant realty lets the place down

I liked how it was easy walk to restaurants, beautiful views, balcony always a plus, walk to markets, good coffee nearby, helpful staff. The only thing that some may find a negative is the bedroom is upstairs if you go to the toilet at night often it’s a bit of exercise up and down the stairs.
