Lodge On The Desert

Although we enjoyed the hotel, pool and hot tub, the location is in a run down area with lots of homeless people. The restaurant was great for lunch, dinner and happy hour but the breakfast was a mediocre buffet that was not hot enough.

Pillows were uncomfortable and gave us a neck ache.

Our family of four (two adults and two teens) stayed in a Fireside Casita Double Queen Suite over spring break and had a really enjoyable experience. The location was ideal—central enough to easily explore the area without long drives in any direction. There was some road construction around the hotel during our stay, which caused a bit of congestion during peak hours. However, it didn’t significantly impact our overall experience, and I imagine it’s much smoother once construction is complete. For the price, we felt this hotel offered excellent value. It’s not a luxury property, and our room showed some signs of wear, but it was clean and comfortable. One small drawback was the lack of convenient outlets, especially by the beds and near the mirror, which made getting ready a bit tricky. The highlight of this property is definitely the grounds—they’re beautifully maintained and create a relaxing atmosphere. We especially enjoyed having coffee outside our room in the mornings. The pool is on the smaller side, but it never felt crowded, and there were plenty of seating options in both sun and shade. We didn’t try the on-site restaurant, but we found a quaint breakfast spot (Locale Neighborhood Italian) just a short 5-minute walk away, which was very convenient. Parking was easy, and we were always able to find a spot close to our room. Overall, this was a great choice for a reasonably priced stay—comfortable, well-located, and a perfect home base for exploring the area.

Place looked nice

Front desk young girl couldnt crack a smile or be personable to save her life. I also asked for another robe and told her I was at pool and she delivered it to the room. Pool was too small and hot tub was really small. We tried to enjoy the facilities but was unsuccessful. And just when we got into the hot tub to finish our evening we got kicked out cause it was 10. Could have given us 15 mins since we just got able to use it after waiting for snotty kids and parents who don’t have any realization what a shared space is

Check in and out were smooth. Other than the leaking ceiling, the rooms were spacious. The ground were beautiful and the restaurant was good. Unfortunately, the leaking ceiling was an issue. We needed to go to the front desk on our final night of a three night stay because water was steadily dripping from our ceiling in two places - one directly over the bed. When we reported it, we casually were asked to pack up and move. Not only were we not given any sort of compensation for the inconvenience, we didn't even get a token apology for having to pack up and relocate. Bad form. Unfortunately, this is what we will remember of the establishment.
