Sea Cliff Resort & Spa

Enjoyed every moment of our two night stay at the hotel,the hotel had also provided a cake for my wife's 50th,that being the reason of our visit.

I arranged transfer and no one came to meet me at the airport. The room had an empty fridge, no mini-bar and had to ask for bath gel, shampoo, soap and tea bags for few days before the penny dropped! The hotel provides very poor exchange rate, surcharge of 5% if you pay by card, levy on drinks and infrastructure tax of $1 for every day you stay in the country. Clients are charged and have to pay in dollars which does not make sense. Personally in my opinion how can this hotel is rated 5 star, cannot understand. The beach is reached after walking and relatively small, gym is free but if you use sauna or steam room charge is $20 every time.

A wonderful experience and a great time was had by all our family

After I saw local staff member crying as they said their farewells to a senior manager who had been dismissed instantly with no reason given, I chose not to stay at this hotel. My cancellation was understood and a refund promised - I am still waiting for it. (This review would not be accepted without ratings so I simply gave averages)

Of all the hotels that we saw in Zanzibar, this one was the best.

We had a lovely stay at SeaCliff Hotel. I wouldn't agree with the 5 star rating of the hotel, but we didn't pay 5 star prices so not really surprised. The staff were friendly and helpful, although it could take quite some time trying to get a drink at the bar. The buffet meals were fine but they weren't amazing. We went for a friends wedding which was fantastic, they were married at sunset on the jetty which was spectacular with a reception on the beach at the golf club - couldn't fault a thing there.

Sea-Cliff hotel has a leak of management, staff is friendly but extremly untrained regarding their products. Afternoon bitings (cash) are very poor quality. Please tell the cook how to produce a Club-Sandwich... we got the worst ever. Give the service staff basic knowledge about your wine menue and how to fill a glas of wine. Even not everybody can read...! Its not a 5 Star Hotel, would give 3,5 Stars. The main bar closed daily latest at 11pm...forced us to go to bed early. Positive: thanks to Barkeeper Alphons, he treated us very well. The sunsets were the best ever...!!!

Beautiful hotel but without beach

Went off season so had the hotel almost to myself and looked after really well. Best sunsets I've ever seen.

The view from the cliff is amazing!!!! It was almost worth it for that. There were too many flies at the buffet because some of the food was not covered. All inclusive does not mean all inclusive. How can you say the alcohol is all inclusive, but the drink made with the liquor is not part of the all inclusive package. The room was very dated. The floor tiles were old and the room was a little moldy. The nettings around the bed to keep the insects out were stained and smelled.
