Sea Cliff Resort & Spa

As a frequent worldwide traveller, I would place this hotel in one of my top 10 favourites. The views are second to none, the rooms are extremely comfortable and quiet and the staff are extremely attentive to all requirements. From the arrival to the departure everything was smooth and ready. If you are going to choose a hotel in Zanzibar, this is the one that you want to go for.

We booked the Deluxe Room and it was dirty all throughout. The shower had mold/mildew stain and the water in the tub would not drain so we had to call maintenance we removed strings of hair from the drain; There we even spots on the towels and dirt marks on the outside of the jacuzzi tub. The refrigerator was dirty on the outside as well which they cleaned after we complained, non the less it was only stocked with two measly bottle of water. For almost $500/night I was shocked and disgusted and would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone. As a note management have us a bottle of sparkling wine for our problems but I would rather have had a discount instead a $20 bottle of wine for staying in a dirty room which we paid $438 for! Also we didn't leave our hotel as the driver drove like man men and the the people in Stone Town is very aggressive towards tourist.

Very beautiful location and near most things. Although dissapointed the free shuttle bus was only running at 9am and back at 1pm. The hotel advertises that there is one at 2pm which is not true. Which meant getting a taxi there and back was very expensive $30 each way and stonetown. is a must for afternoon and evening. But the staff are super friendly a the rooms lovely as is the pools etc would recommend

For the first time in 35 years of travelling, I found a hotel that not only met all my expectations but exceeded so many of them too. A truly wonderful hotel, with amazing views, beautiful rooms, great food options and wonderfully attentive but not intrusive staff. Large enough to offer variety but felt small enough that you were being personally cared for,

Our stay at Sea Cliff was fantastic, right from the welcome iced drinks at check in. Completely lived up to our expectations. The food and staff were excellent and the Executive sous chef pointed out all the foods I could have for my gluten free diet.

3 night at the hotel enjoying the food, the beautiful bars and rooms. Massive infinity pool and all very calm and peaceful. A perfect place to escape for a few days from every day hassle and stress,

I booked this hotel because we wanted to spend a couple of days exploring Stone Town followed by a couple of days' relaxation by the ocean. This hotel is about 14 miles from Stone Town, offers half board, full board and all-inclusive rates, has a daily complimentary shuttle to Stone Town, and a sunset cruise to Stone Town for a fee.The hotel rooms are on a cliff but they have a sandy beach on their property. It is definitely worth paying a little more and getting a deluxe room. These are corner rooms, 50% larger than the other rooms, have french doors on two sides and a bathroom with a very large window and a bathtub. The other rooms do not have bathtubs or windows that open to the outside. Request one on the upper floor if you want more light and privacy though even the downstairs unit provided privacy because of thick foliage outside the bathroom. Food is quite good with a lot of choices for breakfast. For dinner they have a theme each night. The first night it was flavors of the Caribbean (I would rather have had local food) and the second night and the second night it was Asian food when they set up a clay oven outdoors and made great tandoori chicken. Dont know what lunch is like because we got half-board and after a hot breakfast did not feel like having lunch. Did get slightly hungry mid-afternoon and found they had tea, coffee, pastries and light snacks in the bar - self service and complimentary.

My Wife and I spent a week in this resort for our honeymoon. From the moment we stepped into the resort we were waited on hand and foot by the superb staff. We were upgraded to a sea view room and when we walked in our bed was beautifully decorated with flowers and we had a bottle of champagne with a fruit platter which was a lovely gesture. On top of that we also received vouchers for a free couples massage and a seafood dinner which was exceptional. There are so many things to do in the resort alone but plenty of opportunity to relax and take in the breath taking views (stunning sunsets on the jetty). The resort was kept clean and tidy and nothing was too much trouble. Although this hotel does not have a beach right on the doorstep, there is one a short walk away and there was a golf course being constructed which will make this place even more attractive. Highly recommended for all groups.

We had a great stay for 4 days after our safari in Kenya. The Seacliff is big. The ground and the pools are beautifully kept. Service is excellent. The small beach they have is not suitable for swimming but their two infinity pools more than make up fot it. The only complaint I have is their food tend to be overcooked. But overall a good stay !

Arrived at hotel at midnight and received warm welcome. Get good service as schedule bus arrangement as well as great day tour booked.
