Sea Cliff Resort & Spa

Hotel grounds were very nice and amazing scenery. Garden Rooms need updating. Musty smell and air conditioning did not work one of the nights. Buffet. Was adequate but could be improved. Try and get an upgraded room. Nice and quiet resort. Great for relaxing.

I needed a peaceful and relaxing getaway for my birthday and that's what I got at Sea Cliff Resort. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We were advised of available activities and tours.Rooms were clean on daily basis. Food was good. The only down side are the lights switching on and off in the middle of dinner. Otherwise great hotel indeed and I'll recommend it anytime.

Sea Cliff is surely among the three best resorts in Zanzibar. Top notch accommodation, fantastic room. Excellent buffet at night, various cuisine, all that at a very competitive price. Many resorts charge a lot more for lower quality and service. If you are to visit Zanzibar, do yourself a favor by making sure you stay some nights there. It is not far from Stone Town, it will not cost a lot if you hire a private taxi. Highly Recommended.

This is a superb hotel not far from StoneTown (with shuttle service). Touts on the beach are a problem here as they are everywhere in Zanzibar. AS the name tells, the hotel is on a cliff not directly on the beach. The beach is difficult to access at high tide. My only pain point: the wine list is limited (and not all selections available) and the wine service is poor: red wine served cold, whte wine served at room temparture, no tasting prior to pouring offered,

All inc upgrade is worth it - staff are very helpful in general - free shuttle to stone town 2ce daily. The resort is lovely and new, (sept 2012), and staff do fantastically well to keep it clean. Take advantage of the free kayak, bike, etc usage if you can!

Off the beaten path,away from the city in Zanzibar,all you could say when entering Sea Cliff was "Beautiful. It takes your breath away with the Indian Ocean smiling at you upon your arrival. Everything was perfect. Pls get a superior deluxe room with the ocean view. Worth the money. I would not suggest getting a garden view room. You will be very dissapointed unless you are not into ambiance. It is an uneventful room but nicely decorated. Food was awesome,staff ,fabulous. Keri is manager,and she is awesome. We are from the US,and we didn't want to leave. We could have stayed a few more days.

Very nice resort with great views of the Indian Ocean.

We enjoyed the stay. Had initially booked a superior room but upgraded to a deluxe room as we had a child with us. Very comfortable, good facilities on site but the only drawback was a lot of seaweeds on the beach so swimming / going to the beach was out of the question.Half board included dinner which was buffet. Extensive variety but taste and quality of food was mediocre while the desserts were excellent.Good to stay at if you don't want to go to the beach. can book excellent snorkelling trips from the hotel thru Scuba Dive.

We have travel all around the world and this hotel matches the biggest high class hotel. The service and the cleanliness was amazing. The employees were very friendly and the food was great. We recommend this hotel to any travelers looking for a relaxing experience.
