Whalers Cove Oceanfront Resort

Absolutely the best place we've ever stayed. We could almost look straight down at the ocean from our lanai, and the view was breathtaking. We saw a number of turtles from the lanai, and I imagine it would also be a great place to watch whales in season. We were allowed to check in 2 hours early and also received an unrequested upgrade to a 2 bedroom condo. The room we stayed in (suite 136) had everything we needed for our stay including a well stocked full kitchen. It also has 3 bathrooms and 3 TVs, although you're unlikely to watch much TV with the view that awaits you from the lanai. We were also able to borrow beach towels and nice beach chairs at the office. Another thing that I really appreciate about Whalers Cove is that they don't charge a resort fee or a cleaning fee or any of the other add-on fees that so many other places in Hawaii use as an excuse to wrench away more of your money. What we paid on Expedia covered everything. Oh, and did I mention the view? The upstairs master bedroom and shower have the same awesome ocean view as the lanai. I truly can't imagine anyone staying at Whalers Cove and not being wowed by the experience, and anyone who's not should probably do some serious self-reflection IMHO.

Unit 232 in building 2 is spectacular! Newly remodeled with lots of beautiful finishes!

Lovely place. A little outdated, but very comfy. No snorkeling on sight. A bit of a disappointment. Office very accommodating. Location convenient....can walk to mall with many shops and restaurants.

Roomy, quiet, overlooking the ocean. Lovely pool. Close to several good restaurants. Helpful staff for ideas on touring the island. Would easily return to the Whalers Cove.

Just lovely! Great condo in brilliant location on a fantastic island! The cove and bay below the condos seem to have permanent turtles for our week, watched dolphins pass in the bay (condo thoughtfully provided some basic but ok binoculars). Very well equipped, good location for getting around, good restaurants 0.5 mile away Just so expensive....

Our stay was perfect! Clean, quiet, cozy, and will return soon. The condo was stocked with everything we needed. Housekeeping was accommodating and the condo was very comfortable. Great location to shopping and dining. The view was amazing and can't wait to return.

The people upstairs were very noisy when walking back and forth in their room. After complying to the manager she told me it was the owner of the condo I was staying in. She talked to him, but the heavy footed owner didn't change how he walked. It was very unpleasant to hear the loud boom boom of his foot steps at 6:00 AM and sometimes through the day until 9:00 PM for 9 days.

Fantastic condo. Almost don't want to give it a good review so I can keep it a secret. Staff, cleanliness, pool, view!!!!!! All perfect. Alexis was particularly lovely. Will definitely return
