Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino

My stay at Divi Flamingo Resort in Bonaire was nothing short of fantastic — the perfect blend of comfort, relaxation, and underwater adventure. The resort sits right along the island’s stunning coastline, offering panoramic ocean views from nearly every room. The on-site restaurants served excellent food. We took advantage of the 4 different buffet nights. Well worth the cost and I loved how the open-air design made every meal feel like dining by the sea. Scuba Diving Experience: Of course, the main reason I came to Bonaire was for the diving, Divi Diving delivered beyond expectations. Their on-site dive shop was professionally run, with top-notch staff and instructors. Each morning, I joined a small group dive right from the private pier. The reefs were vibrant, filled with colorful corals, turtles, and schools of tropical fish. Bonaire’s reputation as a shore-diving paradise is absolutely deserved — you can literally step into the water and be surrounded by marine life within minutes. Overall Impression: Divi Flamingo combines the charm of island living with the convenience of a full-service dive resort. Whether you’re an experienced diver or just looking for a beautiful, tranquil escape, this place captures the essence of Bonaire — warm, welcoming, and surrounded by natural beauty. I left already planning my return trip.

We have been coming to Divi since 2011, and unfortunately this was the worst dive trip we’ve experienced here. In the past, individual divers signed up for boats using a board, but that system has clearly changed. During our first week we were assigned to a boat by the dive manager, which was understandable due the three official organized dive groups. During our second week there were no official organized groups, yet when we went to sign up, the dive manager was assigning individual divers to the boat we wanted. We were told they had requested to dive with that specific divemaster, but we were never informed that this was an option. Had we known, we would have requested the same. The lack of communication and transparency around boat assignments was frustrating and significantly impacted our experience at a place we’ve been loyal to for many years.

An amazing peaceful and slow paced island experience for my husband‘s birthday! Our balcony was right at water’s edge with amazing sunset views and the lapping water was our night time lullaby! Local people and staff were so kind even surprising my hubby with decorating our room. Resort is beautiful! Most amazing sunsets and local fish prepared in all the restaurants . Loved being able to see fish in the water as you stand on the shore, snorkeling, even right off the beach was amazing - coral reefs everywhere are gorgeous, hawksbill turtle, angel fish, parrotfish, and many others we swam with by the thousands!

The food was exceptional, the staff was very professional and attentive. The two pool and several access points to the ocean made the 90 degree days - welcomed and refreshing. A cold drink was always nearby. The room was cool, inviting and very clean. Sleep time was uninterupted bliss. Sleeping by the pool works too. I can't wait to return next year. The casino was fun and conve nient, as its on the property. I truly dont have a single negative thing to say about my experience. My once a year vacation - this one was a home run !

We go back to the Divi Flamingo time and time again. Lovely island vibe, great location, clean rooms, good food, friendly staff and a great dive operation. We’ll be back next year!

We have been to Bonaire about 20 times but it was the first time staying at Divi Flamingo. We went with a group from our dive shop. We have stayed at 6 different resort many different times in the past. We were pleased with our stay at Divi. The room was a king ocean front room and was very comfortable. The bed was firm. They have a good size safe in the closet. Our only recommendation for the room would be to have drying racks out on the balcony to be able to hang items out to dry. The restaurant food was good and they have a decent selection. We were concerned about how close it was to the cruise ship dock. It wasn’t an issue at all. The house reef was really nice and dove it several times. We did our boat dives on their new boat and luckily was not crowded at all. The dive masters and boat captain were very professional and fun to dive with. We had rented a truck to do some shore diving. They had tanks in a building by the parking lot which made loading tanks in the truck very easy. We never went to the casino as we were there to dive. They have two nice pools although we did not use them. The staff all over the resort were extremely friendly. We would go back to Divi Flamingo in the future.
