Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino

I stayed three nights at Divi Flamingo Beach Resort Bonaire. It was a good stay. The location is central. The room was fine. The atmosphere is quiet. I'm satisfied.

I went with a group from my dive shop for a week at the Divi Flamingo. I had never been to Bonaire before. From the moment I got picked up from the airport, the hotel staff and facilities made my visit very comfortable and relaxing. Checking in was smooth and the room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well and the room was great with a nice patio. My only complaint would be that the bathroom was rather small and dated, but everything was clean. I had the entire room to myself so it wasn't a problem, but I can imagine it might be a bottleneck for a group of 2 or 3 sharing a room. The focus on our trip was diving and we went on 5 days of morning and afternoon boat dives with our divemasters Ruud and Denise. They were absolutely fantastic and showed us so many sites and animals that I could not even believe exist. They worked so hard throughout the week to show us wonderful dives, help ready all our gear and tanks, keep a wonderful positive energy, and continuously emphasize safety. The tanks they keep on the pier were very useful as well, as I ended up doing 3 additional shore dives using these tanks. It would be nice if they would provide a Nitrox analyzer too there, but it's not convenient to the way things are set up there. Next time, I can bring my own. The food at the resort was terrific with lots of good options. I had breakfast at the buffet every morning and there were lots of good hot and cold options. For lunch, I went to Chibi Chibi and the food was always well prepared. When diving that day, I like to eat lighter for breakfast and lunch and there were plenty of good options for that. I can tell that this hotel takes their food preparation seriously and they do it with pride and care. I went to 3 of the dinner buffets as well which were all good. There were always lots of good options and they were well prepared.

I was very disappointed with my recent stay at Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino in Bonaire from November 22–29. I’ve stayed at other Divi Resorts properties before and have always had great experiences, which made this stay especially frustrating. When I first arrived, the room had a strong and unusual odor. After inspecting the room, I found signs of mold and documented it with photos. Housekeeping came to look at it, but the suggested solution was simply spraying air freshener, which would only mask the smell rather than fix the problem. Because I’m sensitive to mold and it made me feel ill, this was not acceptable. It ended up taking most of the evening before I was moved to another room. Unfortunately, the problems continued even after switching rooms. On the morning of November 28, a cockroach came out of the paper towel roll as I was about to use it. Later that same morning, after returning from activities, I found that the air conditioner had leaked a significant amount of water onto the dresser where my belongings were placed, including my laptop. I have not yet attempted to turn the laptop on out of concern that it may have been damaged, and the incident prevented me from completing necessary work that day. There were also several property-wide issues that negatively impacted the stay. There was daytime construction noise, the hot tub was not functioning, and the gym was unusable for multiple days due to an unfixed breaker. I do want to acknowledge that the front desk staff were generally helpful and polite, and Calvin in particular was understanding and respectful when I raised my concerns. However, the overall response to these issues was slow and, at times, inadequate. Between the potential damage to my laptop, getting sick from mold exposure, losing work time, and having to treat my luggage for pests when I returned home, this stay fell far below the standard I’ve come to expect from Divi properties. Had I known about these conditions ahead of time, I would have chosen to stay elsewhere.

Our visit here continues to be amazing year over year. This location is as good as it gets for Bonaire, between the location of the rooms, dining and of course the ease of scuba diving right off the dock or from the boats with their PADI dive facility. The dive team led by Greg is as always amazing with a special shout out to ET and Poppy for the never ending support and care. Even thought the diving is top notch, I must say that the team from Food & Beverage truly make this home for us. From the moment we arrive at check in we are greeted with warm smiles and hugs from not only the Admin team but some of the long time employees of Divi. Mgmt truly has some outstanding team members. Reina, Tern, Nigel, John, Elton, Rabi, Rodney, Annemieke, Juhedy, Gwendiline, Preetie, Naomi & Thalia.....there are not enough words that describe the level of professionalism and customer service that you provide 100% of the time. Where we were at the bar or sitting in the restaurant's these people went over and above to ensure we had what we needed and were happy. Special thanks to our bar team though :). The servers are enabled by such an outstanding chef team. Ray, Gbrahim, Gaurav, Jeanette, Benito and Sous Chef's. We highly recommend not only this beautiful island, but specifically this resort. I is a quiet peaceful place to relax and take in the environment.

Our vacation stay at Divi Dive resort was my absolute FAVORITE so far! Every day, we were so impressed with staff courtesy and friendliness. Our room was available and clean upon our arrival. The food - NOT your typical resort food - it was amazing and fresh! I loved all of the options we had during the day and evening. The bar staff and wait staff were friendly and welcoming! We are first time divers and completed our open water certification in July of 2025. I cant say enough positive things about the staff at the dive shop. Everyone was calm, professional, and eager to ensure we were safe and had a memorable dive experience. We went on a morning boat dive with Andy and James - and it was a memory of a lifetime! Both made us feel safe and comfortable, as well as pointing out some of the most beautiful ocean wildlife Bonaire has to experience 😍

Spent a week's scuba dive vacation at Divi recently. Found the resort very enjoyable! Location is great, just outside of the city, so access to shops & restaurants were easily available within short walking distance. The rooms were clean, in good shape w/ great air conditioning and housekeeping. Our trip included 2 meals which were high quality, plentiful with many choices, and great waitstaff attending to the tables. Overall staff was very friendly, accommodating & well trained.
