Nemacolin

Had the most lovely time , dinner at Gusto was excellent. Our room was incredible, best room I have ever stayed in. Thanks to Lisa at the front desk at the grand lodge for all her help ! We will be back soon.

1. Our check - in was delayed beyond 4 pm since they could not clean the room until that time and when we finally reached our townhome, we were greeted with 3 large trash bags right by the side of our door. The bathrooms did not have enough body soap in the dispenser bottle. 2. Housekeeping only serviced our townhome for 1 of 5 days of our stay. 3. It snowed every day during our stay but the snow from the back-deck of the townhome was only cleared on one of 5 days. 4. We ordered room service at night on 1/4 and they messed up the order. What is worse is that gratuity was already included but the lady who brought the food and receipt had folded the one which listed that gratuity was already included and had me sign the other receipt which just had the total amount on which I added another 20% for a messed up order. 5. I had a terrible experience with shuttle pick up; I had requested a shuttle from spa to townhomes and two shuttles passed without stopping and then I had to stand outside in freezing cold for 10 minutes for a shuttle going oil another direction that I had to flag to stop and give me a ride. 6. I shared my experience with the Nemacolin guest services number (724-202-0826) on which guest services was texting me everyday for our 5-day stay but I did not receive any reply after my text which included the points I have listed above. Overall I the service at Nemacolin Resort in Farmington, PA was terrible.

Nemacolin is a beautiful resort. The design and artwork throughout the hotel are stunning. We stayed in a suite at the newly renovated Chateau. The room was great. The food in the restaurants is expensive but the quality is top notch, so no complaints there. We had a couple shuttle drivers who made sure to tell us about the property and point out fun things to see. It was a nice visit. However, there were several service issues throughout our stay. First, our room came with butler service, but I never saw or heard from them throughout the stay. We noticed that the room next to us would put out a slip of paper for coffee/tea service in the morning. That should have been offered to us but never was. So we ordered tea and coffee from room service and paid $$$ for it when it should have been included. There is also a binder in the room with Nemacolin merchandise, and it says on every page to call the butler/concierge to order any of the items and have them brought to your room. We wanted to order 3 robes as souvenirs, but when I called they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. After some confusion, they called back and said they didn't have them in stock. They told me to order it from their website. (which comes with a hefty shipping charge and doesn't really qualify as a souvenir) The bathroom scale was out of battery, so I left a note with the daily gratuity asking them to replace them. They never did. These small misses added up over the course of the stay. It felt like some of the offerings look great paper only.

Loved the atmosphere. Wished there was a microwave and ice available without having to call a butler.

There are so many options for things to do here we definitely want to come back.

Beautiful resort with imaginative decorations for the holidays!! The food at every restaurant was delicious!! Outdoor winter activities were fun, and the views were incredible. Very upscale with out being pretentious. If staying in the townhomes..recommend bringing your own breakfast requirements…it is a long distance to get to the main hotels. A resort with something for everyone!
