"Very relaxing weekend"

What a wonderful experience. Everyone was very kind and the entire experience was very memorable! The spa is amazing! Everyone seemed very knowledgeable and was very welcoming! This was a birthday weekend and everyone made sure everything was perfect!

"Odd turn and twist of events"

We set out to go to the resort having been there years ago. We wanted to take our disabled daughter who has a progressive condition to enjoy the area and facilities. We explicitly stated when making the reservations that we needed assistance to use the pool as she is disabled and needs the exercise. They checked and said everything was in order to do so. We arrived and learned neither pool was set up for access. I made a point of speaking to manager and we did get a discount and the pool was made accessible the next day. However things just didn’t seem to go right from there. Although the service is outstanding (at $700-$1000 per night it should be) the cost for everything was outrageous. A butter sauce for salmon of $9 was added to bill with no mention. The lobster bisque at $22 was thin and not particularly tasty. Not wanting to make a big deal we mentioned on our way out when asked, at which point they offered to remove it. Next our car was damaged by either someone keying it or something dropped on it. Place is entirely valet. We showed the manager and they promised to address it with security. The day we left they hadn’t gotten back to us saying many hours of tape needed to be reviewed yet two weeks later we still have not heard. My husband has called leaving several messages with the GM and still no response. Last when my husband went to play golf while we did the spa they said he would be charged the PGA pro rate of $75. When he later checked his credit card he was charged $150. Weird course of events and frankly not well managed at the end. This is a high high end place with tons of staff. Yet the way they handled this after fact was very disappointing. We will not return or recommend this place.

"Disappointing. Don't Stay Here."

DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!! I am a Bon voyage Platinum member as well as a DVC Member and this fell WAY below par. Expect average food, average service, average amenities. The hotel room was the only thing that was nice. Everyone working there are college kids. We had to send back dishes since they were too undercooked or overcooked. Food is important and we left and drove 30 mins to eat off premise. Please go somewhere else and spend your money somehwere else.

"You will never forget Nemacolin"

The Nemacolin Experience just exceed my expectations. It’s about all the details they do for you so you can really say “I’m their favorite guest”. From a bath of bubbles and a glass of wine after a long day of activities, to a beautiful room with coffee and a perfect view to the mountains, the staff will take care of you as if you’d feel like a VIP. Every space of the resort was impeccable, each restaurant has its own personality and the food is beyond delicious. I stayed at the Chateau and then at the Townhomes because I wanted to experience both lodging options and if I would have the chance I would have added Falling Rock to my list, you can’t just miss all the thing they have to make your staying so memorable!

"Rough Check In, No hot water in the morning and Everything Else Perfect!"

We took our grandkids (ages 3 and 5) for 2 days and 1 night for their Spring Break. The reservation agents were very helpful with choosing a room, explaining the rates and activities. The reservation agent also offered to place a note in our reservation that we would be arriving early about 10:30 am. Although check in is not until 4pm, she suggested we check in upon arrival and let them know we were on property and they'd put a rush on our room. When we arrived and checked in at 10:45 our room was not ready (as I expected). In order to plan for what I needed out of our luggage for the activities we had scheduled, I asked if she had an idea of the time that our room would be ready. The check in lady told me to go to our first activity which was indoor craft from 11-12, get some lunch and then our room would be ready. She said we'd have enough time to go to our room before our 2:00 Wildlife Tour to get our coats and boots and get the kids ready for the outdoor tour. We enjoyed the Arts and Crafts and ate lunch at PJ's. The kids enjoyed the crafts and lunch at PJ's was fun and delicious. Our server Betty was fantastic with the kids! About 1:30, we went back to the Chateau and were told our room was not ready ...but they would put a rush on it. We were already told at check in that she put a "rush" on the room - I guess she forgot. I totally understand how hard it is to get rooms ready but then don't tell me it would be ready before our outdoor tour when it wasn't. The front desk offered to bring our luggage cart to the lobby where I could go through our bags to get the outdoor gear we needed. I did not feel comfortable doing this in a public area and putting the bags on the floor to open them. So I asked for the bags to be re-loaded into our vehicle. We then drove up to the Peak for our 2:00 Tour and I was easily able to get what the kids needed for the Wildlife Tour. I understand the room was not guaranteed until 4:00 but don't tell me it'll be ready before my 2:00 tour and then it is not ready. If they would have told me that it would not be ready until 4, I would have understood and left our bags in the car to have access to what we needed. Mostly, I would not have wasted my time going back to the Chateau to try to check in. We would have driven to the Peak and enjoyed the activities along the way. This made the check in very chaotic and unpleasant. The Wildlife Tour was excellent. The guides very knowledgeable about all of the animals and they really made the tour special for the littles! We fed goats and emus and learned a lot. The kids had a great time. We enjoyed the cosmic bowling, outdoor pool, lazy river and hot tub at the Peak. We made reservations for the outdoor Little Tikes Ropes Course. The guide was really fantastic. Our 3 year old was extra scared and our guide spent time with him explaining everything. With some encouragement, he had a excellent time and gained a lot of confidence. Our 5 year old is more adventurous and although she was a little apprehensive, the guide found time to help and encourage her. What a wonderful experience! The double suite at The Chateau was perfect. The kids enjoyed the Rubber Duckie bath from the Butlers. Breakfast in the room was hot and delicious and came on time. We did not have hot water for showers in the morning. The water was slightly warm but not hot enough. We did not have time before check out to call to the front desk. When we checked out, she did say .... Oh I apologize. Who really wants a cold shower in the morning? Over all, the check-in was chaotic and disappointing, the cold shower in the morning was not good but everything in between was fantastic.

"fabulous girls overnight"

Recently took a midweek girls overnight trip to Nemacolin! It was fabulous! We stayed in a chateau room and it was updated and beautiful! the marble in the bathroom was gorgeous! The food at gusto and aqueous was 5 Star! The employees were the kindest and most helpful! Especially Joshua who is a hotel butler! There are so many activities for families! I would recommend to my friends who are grandparents not to hesitate to bring their grandchildren here! The spa was wonderful. it was serene and beautiful! I had a wonderful massage by Jessica! I cannot wait to come back someday!

"Anniversary stay"

We had been to Nemacolin years ago, so we chose this spot as a quick anniversary overnight stay. From the champagne greeting at check in to the wonderful dinner at Gusto and all the way to check out, the staff is beyond polite and amazingly friendly. The hotel with all the renovations is immaculately beautiful as expected. We did horseback riding as an activity and Abby was our guide and very professional. She made us inexperienced riders feel comfortable for the hour on our horses. My husband visited the gym and was very impressed with equipment. We stayed in the Chateau and our room was beautiful and butler service was top notch. I am happy we chose this location to celebrate our special occasion and look forward to going back.

"A very bad value"

Very/very disappointed. The service was polite but unresponsive. The room was uncomfortable-no temp control and noisy. The French restaurant was (as was everything) very overpriced and poor quality. Honesty, it would have been a better value to fly to Paris for dinner and return. For the price I would recommend you find another choice.
