The Inn at Longwood Medical

I went to college near this hotel and I have stayed here because it is very convenient to my school when I come to my reunions (I have attended many). It is also a simple walk up to Fenway Park (go Red Sox). The hotel is situated in a perfect part of Boston with fantastic restaurants, museums, and wonderful places to walk. Transportation options are abundant (Boston is a manageable city and it is easy to get around). Like most Boston accommodations, this hotel is not inexpensive, but I always feel safe during my stays. This area of Boston is surrounded by many hospitals and medical institutions, so, until the wee hours of the night, the ambulance noise can be annoying. Fortunately, the hotel buffers some of that noise with some sound proofing. The rooms are relatively small, but comfortable and clean. So, it is a good choice. You will not be in your room much because Boston is a vibrant city with tons of things to do and see.

Located next to Boston children’s hospital, very convenient.2 inches of hair in tub drain, about 6 Kleenex in box , no extras, no bottled water,no water pressure in shower, restaurant closed on weekend nights. Breakfast took forever and waitstaff was awful

While in a good location, the property charge an additional $30 fee not shown on booking.com. Parking overnight was $50. Late checkout started at $50 for an additional hour after regular checkout. Price gouging at its finest.

Hidden fees.

I have been using this hotel for for several years to support us during medical visits and InPatient stays at Brigham. And Women’s Hospital. The location, cleanliness and access to amenities makes this a great choice. Recently the customer service has been great. Sara at the front desk will go above and beyond to assist with your needs. She was able to help with booking during a very difficult time and when rooms were scarce. While I will have to change rooms during my upcoming stay, she worked diligently to coordinate the two rooms to meet my urgent need.

This hotel was originally opened to support family’s of patients at Boston Children’s Hospital. In that capacity it is a good choice. Otherwise I can see no compelling reason to stay at this property. Our room was tiny, in need of updating. The bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever seen in my life, and I traveled for a living. The most glaring fault though was the HVAC system was a portable room air conditioner sounded like a jet engine when it cycled on and off.

The inn is very convenient especially if you need to use or visit Boston’s top medical facilities. Rooms are quiet and clean and the galleria provides fast food needs. Parking on site but slow elevator. Angel at the front desk is professional, kind and helpful. Wait for him to check you in as there is one specific desk person who does not seem to grasp hotel etiquette.

Front desk staff was incredibly knowledgeable about all resources available to guests during their stay.
