Aspen Suites Anchorage Downtown

Pool was closed for remodeling or just broken down.

Real shabby. Microwave and AC didn’t work. And they didn’t have a maintenance person to check out the microwave or AC. The room looked old and could’ve been cleaner. Their pillows are horrible. We’ll never stay there again.

Shower had mold in grout. Leftover food from previous occupant in kitchen area. Free breakfast is oatmeal packs and sugary breakfast bars.

The stay was fine. It's a little farther from the main street in downtown Anchorage, but 10-15 min walk from everything. Didn't feel the safest, but also there's quite a homeless population in town.

Several things about this property. Not in a safe environment. The exit door to the parking lot is one way,m. We had to walk all the way around to the front lobby to re-enter. We had two rooms and one of the room the bed just fell apart. The phones in the rooms wasn’t working. Went to the front desk and they said no maintenance on duty so they changed the second room. Breakfast wasn’t really breakfast. Rooms seemed old. No one came to clean the room. Will not recommend this hotel to any friends or families.

We were delayed at the airport and didn't get to the Extended Stay until 1:30. Unfortuantely they gave away our room for the night. We ended up staying in our car that night after 20 hours of traveling. We understood that we should have called to say we would be late but when we were charged for the room we called to have it taken off and they declined. RIDICULOUS! I will never stay at another Extended Stay!

Although, cleaning service is very disappointing only once a week but customer service was very sincere and helpful. Due to a family emergency we needed to extend an extra day and the staff was very understanding and very helpful. Thank you Extended Stay for making our family trip convenient.

Goid location to downtown, JBER, and airport

We arrived early to hotel 7/21 about 12 noon, we were going to drop off our luggage and my son wanted to sit in the lobby to check is messages but we were dismissed as we were not checked in yet as guests, check in was 3pm. We decided not to leave our luggage. So we left to return later. Once we checked in, looked around the room, the toilet paper dispenser was broken, the window could not open more than an inch. The table in the room has a broken leg and was very wobbly. The A/C was stuck on 80 degrees & would not cool room down thus we tried to open the window to let the hot air out & outdoor air in which was cooler at 60 degrees. At one point i did ask the front desk a question, what was the building across the street, she said i don't know, which was somewhat frustrating i left for the day. The driveway was unkept, needs sweeping of debris & trash. I do understand everwhere has a homeless peopl problem who i have seen come on property, no security here so they do come on private property. Our room key failed times & were replaced at the front & conental bfst was a joke, coffee was fine, the rest was unacceptable, my room fee was very high to have one choice of instant oatmeal in a paper cup, the hot water dispenser was slower than molasses, there was a muffin stand but the size of the muffin was child-size, not fresh baked. My son & I made the best of our trip by enjoying the downtown atmosphere but i dont think i would stay at this hotel chain in the future.

The hallways were dirty, much in need of vacuuming. The room smelled of smoke and staff would do nothing and vlaimed no other room was available. Curtains in room were falling off. Breakfast was minimal, coffee, instant oatmeal, pre-packaged muffin.
