Coral Princess Hotel & Dive Resort

Did Not like that the ENTIRE HOTEL WAS OVER GUN WITH EIGHT TO TEN - 3-4 yr old TODDLERS! That were Ignored by their Own Mothers and Left TO COMPLETELY TAKE OVER THE ENTIRE POOL EVERY DAY FROM 8am THRU 3pm! TOTALLY DISRUPTING ANY PEACE AND QUIET BY THEIR CONTINUAL YELLING AND HIGH PITCHED SCREAMING AND RUNNING IN AND OUT OF THE POOL AND NOT ONE HOTEL STAFF MEMBER EVER CAME TO REPREMAND THEM TO STOP SCREAMING AND YELLING AND RUNNING AROUND THE POOL DISRUPTING THE ENTIRE ATMOSPHERE FOR THE ADULT GUESTS!

This is our 2nd time at the Coral Princess and they are great. They are not the newest or fanciest hotel but they have a very nice and attentive staff, clean rooms, an amazing restaurant if you want to eat from there, and a lovely pool with swim up bar and additional beach area in front of the pool. This hotel has a dive shop as well so there is an additional area off the pool/beach area that goes right into the ocean for snorkeling and landing area where dive boats come to pick you up if you are diving. We have always had an ocean facing room with a balcony, but I believe they do have street facing rooms so if you want an ocean view just be sure to ask for that!

Liked everything but the not knowing what would be open for eating at the hotel itself.

The food venue has very limited opening times, the height of the railing on rooms facing the road it’s not up to international standard. They are too short and anybody go on the balcony there with a child or someone should be very careful. Also if the rings, the tires are extremely slippery, it’s also a huge threshold without any warning sign. I live there myself and hurt myself.

I am writing this review to reach out to you guys regarding a booking we canceled for our trip to Mexico in September. We booked through Expedia. Myself, my friend, and our wives were set to stay at your property. Unfortunately, a few weeks before the trip, we received devastating news from the hospital that my friend’s daughter, who is also my goddaughter, had only days left to live. In light of this, we immediately contacted both United Airlines and your hotel(via expedia) to cancel our plans. United Airlines graciously refunded the full cost of our non-refundable tickets upon reviewing the hospital’s letter we provided. However, despite providing the same documentation and explaining our situation, your hotel refused to issue a refund. We were meant to stay from Aug 29 to Sept 3, 2024. Tragically, the child passed away on Sept 1. We informed you of this heartbreaking loss but still received no resolution or compassion from your team. I strongly urge you to reconsider this refund as an act of goodwill and empathy. I hope your organization can align with the understanding and compassion shown by other service providers during such exceptional circumstances.

We've been visiting Cozumel 1 - 2 times per year for the past 10 years. We love to swim in the sea and snorkel. This was the first time we stayed at this hotel and we're definitely going back. After a few disastrous experiences at more pretentious (and more expensive) hotels, we decided to try this and loved it. We rented a king bed suite with a balcony. It that had a round table, fridge, stove, microwave, sink and everything we could need. American breakfast included. The service was really good, from the check in to the restaurant and bar. Waiters remembered what we ordered and liked. Food was really tasty. We snorkeled and saw a family of stingrays - mom dad and 2 "kids" in tow + many different fish. The only thing was that the pool's water was extremely cold, so we couldn't get in, nor did we see any other guests inside during our whole stay. It was the only issue. So we stayed on the bunk beds resting, enjoying the view, our snacks & drinks. We realized the hotel has repeating guests from different places that know each other or had met there years before. Mostly adults. So, our opinion is clearly a common and shared one. I did not give it all the 5 stars due to the pool's water temperature. But it is indeed a place to be recommended!

This resort has beautiful views (from all the one bedroom and larger units). The unit well well stocked. I cooked every day and it was easy in the kitchen. There’s a decent restaurant on site and it was open when they said it would be. The swimming off the resort is spectacular but it’s very deep. My room was clean and in decent condition except the fridge, which was rusted and dripping and missing the inside door pieces. Also the lock on the balcony door wasn’t working. Housekeeping is available and they do a fabulous job. I would definitely return in a heartbeat.

Review: DO. NOT. STAY. HERE. I tried really, really hard to like this place. They have good reviews online. Turns out, there is new management as of August 2024, and a lot has gone down hill. The staff is wonderful, the management is horrific. They advertise a bar, restaurant, gym, spa, dive shop/dive resort. None of those were open the entire time we were there. The pool was full of mosquitos and must of not been cleaned in weeks. The gym was full of umbrellas, outdoor chairs, etc- it was used for storage and not usable. The spa was closed. The swim up bar was only open 4 hours a day, and only provides shots of 3 different types of alcohol. The restaurant and k8 were not open. The “store” only has beer and water. There is no golf course, though it’s advertised. They are not set up for diving, just have a dive shop that stays closed the entire time. The worst part was that due to the spa being closed, I scheduled a massage with a local vendor (whom I have seen many times before) and they would not allow her in the building to provide the massage. Apparently, they do not allow anyone on the property that is not paying for a room- even if you offer to pay for a guest pass. I asked if I could speak to the owner, as they have allowed this masseuse in before. And he refused to come down to talk to us or explain anything. The poor staff had to relay the information. I come to Cozumel many times a year, and have friends and family that live here and own businesses. The new owner here is a total crook. Do not go here. Instead: stay at Puerto Libre or the Presidente. DO NOT GO HERE.

Really enjoyed the stay, my only issue was, and it maybe because it was end of season, the bar restaurant did not open and the pool bar restaurant closed by 5pm meaning heading elsewhere for dinner every night.
