No hot water. Staff were very friendly & nice. Should have sais we could take morn showers in another room as we were too tired to move after our cold showers. They politely said they were sry & reported it. Should have sent text as to another room fir mirn shower with some sort of apology treat cold showers when tired are terrible.

Negligence, attempted double charge, and mistreatment of elderly guests and children at 1 AM Booking made through Booking.com for three rooms at Hampton by Hilton Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale. Two reservations: one from May 4–10 and another from May 5–10. Context: our trip was already severely disrupted by the Spirit Airlines bankruptcy, which forced us to completely reorganize our family itinerary at enormous additional cost. We contacted the hotel multiple times through Booking to request that the arrival date for the second reservation be adjusted from May 5 to May 6. We never received a response. When the second group arrived — three elderly adults and three young children — the front desk clerk claimed he could not find the reservation and demanded a new payment of $1,800 USD, money that had already been collected by Booking and transferred to the hotel. For over four hours, this employee left elderly guests and young children standing in the lobby with no solution offered, while he continued checking in other guests as if we did not exist. We contacted Booking directly to help resolve the situation. The clerk refused to take the phone. We had to put it on speaker so he could hear. Even then, he repeated that he “could not do anything,” while sitting in front of a computer with full access to the institutional email containing the booking confirmation. His only proposal was that we pay again. The Booking representative had to raise the possibility of sanctions against the hotel before the clerk agreed to call his supervisor. It was that supervisor who resolved the situation at 1:30 AM — the same situation the clerk had deliberately blocked for hours. Additionally, the first group was charged a $300 USD deposit that has not been refunded to this date. This was not a mistake. This employee attempted to charge a family with elderly adults and young children for a reservation that had already been paid, held them in a lobby from 7:30 PM until past midnight, and refused every opportunity to resolve the issue. That is not incompetence. It is a practice that deserves serious internal investigation. I do not recommend this hotel. I will be documenting this experience across every available
