Hotel Les Jumeaux Courmayeur

Needs a refresh.

My son and I received a most warm and hospitable reception from the hotel The hotel is the best placed for access to the cable car, which in skiing season is a major consideration. My one small and tiny moan would be a lack of any English speaking channels on the cable TV - but that also had the upside of a week away from the world’s lunatics!

The hotel is a bit dated but has all the comfort you’d expect. It’s very convenient for the main cable car to the pistes which is right next door. Walking into town takes 10minutes. After a heavy night snow fall the outdoor car park was well managed and no one had issues getting out with their Car. Our room had a great view of the mountain

Excellent location right by the cable car. Very friendly welcome from reception staff who were helpful throughout our stay. Rooms are fairly basic, but perfectly comfortable and plenty of hot water for welcome baths after a day skiing. Best bit of breakfast was the fresh fruit juice, squeezed to order from oranges, mandarins, kiwi, lemons, ginger and more.

Both the ski lift and town centre and on your doorstep. The hotel and its staff were excellent.

Horrible service, horrible bed, bad breakfast, rude staff, way over-priced, a strange smell in the room.

Nice hotel. Great value, but building sites were noisy duing th day. Handy location just out of the centre.

This hotel cannot be called "4 stars". I have stayed at hostels and refuges better than this. The communal areas, as well as rooms are old, dated and not well maintained. Staff were generally unfriendly. There is no air conditioning making it especially uncomfortable with temperature in the high 20's. Breakfast was decent. Specifically regarding the room I stayed in - Classic Double/Twin: - Room smelt like a wet dog. - Tap in bathroom sink dripped the whole stay. - Shower head when adjusted in height kept sliding back down as mechanism to tighten was broken. - Mould in the bathroom and several cracked tiles. - The live "entertainment" in the reception area goes quite late in the night and can be heard loud and clear in the room, not just the music and singing, but also the movement of chairs and people above. Made worse if you open the balcony door in the hope of some fresh / cool air. - The "minibar" fridge was mouldy inside. - The advertised "city views" were of the building next door.

The team was great and very flexible with our requests.
