The Lodge at Big Sky

We stayed at the Lodge at Big Sky pre-Christmas for a ski trip. The lodge was great. The location is perfect. It's a 7 minute walk from the door to the chair with ski boots on. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. They had my room ready early and let me check in right away when we arrived. Room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the indoor pool and the indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Watching the Christmas Eve fireworks on the mountain from the outdoor hot tub was a plus. Breakfast was plentiful and Aaron was friendly and very helpful.

We had spent three days in Yellowstone, and needed an overnight on our way to Bozeman Airport. There didn't seem to be a lot of activity at the resort, which was fine by us. Our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was average, although they did have a pancake making machine which you don't see very often. I wanted to get a glass of milk and nothing came out of the machine. I had to get the waitstaff to refill the machine, and then when I went back after they had filled it, the milk was sour. Except for the breakfast experience, our stay was fine. Not sure what it would've been like during the height of the season.

Awesome location, Best Budget Friendly slopeside motel. Not owned directly by Big Sky. Staff went out of there way to make sure we were comfortable and felt welcome. Nice to have a bed right there after a great day skiing. Breakfast was great - Sausage and Chicken, Yogurt, Pastries, pancakes and Juice. Staff offered a ride to the chairs. Room was very clean and spacious. Really enjoyed out trip!

Friendly staff & served eggs in the morning. The hot tub was hot & not too much chorine. Very fun in the cold weather. Had towels available at the pool.

Had to pay for parking in an empty lot, tired & worn facilities, no gluten free breakfast options.

Great location for skiing. 15 minute drive to town center which has restaurants, shopping, etc. very friendly and helpful front desk staff. An older hotel so the decor is a bit dated and worn, and the walls are paper thin. The common area is beautiful and inviting. Breakfast is very basic, typical for a ski area.

Great place all around if you’re looking for something close and cozy. Can’t complain!

It wasn’t a 5-star resort but it was definitely good enough.
