We loved the continental breakfast. The room was big and the bed was very comfortable. Thank you.

Hotel was good. Elevator needs a lot of work. Noisy and very slow. Also carpet in the elevator needs to be replaced. Parking 12.00 per car is ridiculous. Maybe in the winter when parking is limited, but in the summer and the lot is more than half empty. Behind the hotel is free parking. Breakfast was good. No other food options while we were there. Also the bar was closed.

Spacious room, clean. Breakfast closing at 9 am on a weekend was disappointing for those who were at a Dave Mathews local concert the night before, or even those who want to sleep in.

Love that the resort supports J-1 international program. Lodge has a lovely lobby & great views. It’s pass due for renovations (bathroom ceilings stained, wallpaper pealing, lumpy mattress). The night stand & coffee area appeared to have spilled sticky liquids. Felt some irritation while sitting on sofa, so we sprayed room (linen, sofa & carpet) with Lysol. The hotel allows pets that more likely rest on the furniture. For the remote location, in August, the room was overpriced.

The bed was super comfortable. I do understand supplying demand, but I also stayed in 1000 times nicer hotels for the same money.

"Not Worth the Price – Disappointing Stay at The Lodge at Big Sky"

2.0

We stayed two nights at The Lodge at Big Sky and were charged $1,121 USD plus $12/day for parking. For that price, you expect cleanliness, comfort, and at least basic hospitality. Unfortunately, we experienced none of those. From the moment we entered, the property felt tired, unkempt, and not well-maintained. The elevator made loud clunking noises that made us feel unsafe. Once in the room, we were met with dirty carpet and a bathroom that clearly had not been cleaned properly — including black hairs behind the tray on the counter and grime along the floor edges. We raised our concerns with the front desk. While the receptionist was polite, there was no meaningful response or resolution. When we asked to speak to a manager, we were told our message had been passed along — but it clearly hadn’t. Even more disappointing was the indifference shown by the owners during checkout. They offered no concern, no apology, and when we mentioned the experience, they dismissed it entirely — even sarcastically saying we could “take the parking fee and have a nice day” if we were going to leave a bad review. The excuse of “future renovations” was offered, but that doesn’t explain or excuse a lack of cleanliness, customer care, and basic standards. The Lodge at Big Sky is charging luxury prices for a subpar experience. We won’t be returning, and we cannot recommend it to others.
