SureStay Hotel by Best Western Morganton

Front entrance was a hangout spot for smokers and a very sketchy looking group. Never saw a front desk associate. Morning of checkout the fire alarm went off due to lack of supervision of the breakfast area. This place is going “down-hill” in my opinion. I’ve stayed here multiple times in the past, each time being a little worse. I won’t be staying here again.

Not much to like

Made a reservation but when I got there they said they couldn’t find it I assume they gave my reservation to someone else I assume a friend

The bed was not comfortable and the bathroom was terrible

The staff was very kind and apologetic when I found a bedbug in my bed the last night. No discount was offered but I was moved down the hall to another room. They were throwing away mattresses during my stay, so I assume there was a recent infestation and they were dealing with it. Perhaps I was just there for the tail end of it. Nonetheless, some kind of discount would have been nice.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable

Did not eat. Did not care for anything at this place.

We had no washcloths in the room to take a bath with. Called front desk, had to leave message about it. They didn't bring any or return my call. Air didn't work good. The cart for loading your belongings was in bad shape. Carpet was filthy and smelly.
