Great National South Court Hotel

This visit to the South Court arose due to an emergency surgery in the nearby UCH for my daughter in law. The hotel could not have been more helpful or caring including adding in an extra bed for my son to stay as they were fully booked the second night! They turned an extraordinarily stressful situation into a less stressful one by their engagment and kindness. In particular, I would like to compliment Carlos and Thomas at the front desk. They were outstanding. The location of the hotel so close to the main city hospital was also important. The cost was also very reasonable given the quality of the environment, restaurants and rooms. But, in conclusion, the kindness, thoughtfulness and genuine care were simply wonderful. Thank you, Pat

Le petit déjeuner au Off the Bone pub et le diner au Curry House étaient parfaits.

L'hôtel était très bruyant : des travaux en cours dans l hôtel et notre chambre (avant rénovation) viellote et mal isolée phoniquement et thermiquement d'autant que le dispositif de fermeture de la fenêtre était cassé. Nous avons demandé à en changer mais un membre du personnel nous a dit que toutes les chambres de l'hôtel avait le même défaut. Idem pour les services de streaming (Netflix) qui ne fonctionnent pas alors que ce service était mis en avant sur le site de l'hôtel et sur notre récapitulatif de réservation. De plus, notre chambre donnait sur une rue très passante, face à une station service. Impossible donc de bien s'y reposer après une journée bien remplie.

I’m amazed they charged full price to a customer for a room in a hallway where significant renovations were ongoing. The building work started before 8am in the morning, right beside my room. The room itself was clean but incredibly dated.

The only redeeming feature of the stay were the staff, and the breakfast. If not for this this is a 1 star

Grande chambre, lit confortable, parking gratuit, restaurant sur place ou supérette à côté.

Salle de bain dépassée, équipements minimum, chambre dite suite sans charme, recharge électrique pour voiture : 89€… une arnaque ( alors que le chargeur tesla n’est pas loin mais j’ai choisi la facilité du parking sur place)

Lovely experience staff are very friendly, food was delicious definitely stay again. Atmosphere was good and room was spacious

Stayed in this brilliant hotel twice with our rugby club, rooms are clean and spacious. Food is amazing in both the gastropub and the Indian restaurant. The great staff couldnt do enough to make our stay a pleasant and comfortable experience. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Decent breakfast, helpful staff, evening entertainment was very good (Saturday)

Room is very strangely laid out! Designed by a man I'm sure. Bit out of town but good bus service from the front door
