Large room, comfortable bed, festive decor

I booked my room a month in advance as a Christmas gift for my husband. A short, relaxing staycation to explore Mt. Lemmon and to visit some friends. I specifically chose this property because of the views and the room I booked so we could enjoy the views. I used a third party booking service that I always use and have never had any issues. I went to the property the day of to check in and the front desk could not locate my reservation. Their solution, instead of calling the booking service, was to create a new booking. When I called the booking service they called the front desk and instead of letting booking.com speak with the person I was dealing with already, Yvette, who had walked up mid conversation told them I had direct booked as well and to cancel my reservation with them almost costing me double. We finally get the booking figured out only to be told the room I booked (specifically for the view) was not available. To compensate me Yana told me she waived the resort fees - which no she didn’t because I had already paid them with my 3rd party booking- and gave me a coupon for a complimentary appetizer at the restaurant which she said we could use for ‘any’ appetizer not just a specific one. The restaurant would not honor the coupon when we went back that evening. Not once was an apology offered for the issue or inconvenience acknowledged. As we walked the grounds on the first day, the employees we passed never smiled or said anything to us. One in a golf cart almost hit us on the walking path and didn’t say anything as she drove past. I attempted to call the front desk, the concierge and hotel services from my room at one point on Saturday evening for some items and received no answer.

Amazing all around stay. The people working there were all so nice and friendly. The room was huge, clean and comfortable. The bed was soft. The pools were heated and actually warm.

I wish I could afford to have stayed there longer.

It has beautiful desert gardens all around.

The parking lot is nice. The 3 course dinner I had was good.

1. With the exception of the female employee at check in, a good bartender and the server I had at dinner, I found the other employees I had an interaction with were passive aggressive and subtly rude. The security guard actually stood in front of my room and stared into my room for a good 5 to 10 minutes. I do not know what that was about. I guess it was too intimidate me for some reason but I found it to be a stalking like behavior. Weird. 2. The room had dirty baseboards/corners, the carpet needed to be cleaned and the walls were whisper thin. I could hear my neighbors conversations clearly. This place is not at a resort level. It is more like a three star hotel. 3. The property has areas that are safety hazards. No railings on the walkways where it is at different levels, a few of the path markers were broken and laying on the ground and there are no signs indicating where the room is. Overall, this place is a hassle to stay at. 4. To top it off when I checked out the front desk employee asked me how I stay was. I muttered not good and that I will take it up with Wyndham. She said no that I couldn't because I booked it through booking.com! Wow. I believe I have the right to contact anyone that I want to regardless of how I booked it. She was completely out of line by saying that to me. Again, rude. Needless to say, I absolutely do not recommend this place. You might get physically hurt, you might get stalked or you might just be treated poorly in general. I regret that I spent the money I did to stay at this place and I couldn't wait to leave.

Room service was okay for morning coffee.

A bit run down and out dated. Sparse, the balcony had a couple of plastic chairs on a dirty slab of concrete.

Das WiFi in unserem Zimmer war das schlechteste und unstabilste auf der ganzen Reise. Das passt nicht für ein Grand Resort. Die Posada Zimmer waren nicht alle verfügbar. Einige konnten wegen Reparaturen nicht vermietet werden.

Wonderful spacious room with lovely sunset views from patio. Comfy bed. Nature walk around the property was really scenic and fun. Will try a trail ride next time.

Restaurant food was okay, pub like, and some what limited. We miss the Gold Room.
