Apex Grassmarket Hotel

Restaurant was closed on two evenings of our stay due to staff shortages. We were lucky as there are lots of lovely restaurants in that area.

breakfast was very good. no AC so we got toask for fans.

The hotel is in a busy street so there is a lot of noise at night.

Hotel warty polecenia. Personel przyjemny. Lokalizacja idealna, wszędzie blisko na pieszo. Pokoje przestronne i bardzo wygodne duże lóżko. Na każdego czeka miła niespodzianka od właściciela i małe przekąski. Wszędzie czysto. Śniadanie dobre i smaczne. Kosmetyki z najlepszej półki.

Wanna w łazience wysoka i wąska, strasznie nie wygodna. Lepiej był by prysznic.

When we arrived in the late afternoon we were told our room was having maintenance performed, the clerk asked the manager if we could be put in another room and she refused, so we were given drink chits for the bar. About 45 minutes later we were told our room was ready - when we entered the room it stank of sewage, disgusting! My husband went down, while he was gone I opened the drapes to get a view of the castle and the curtain rod fell down on me - when the manager came up she finally transferred us to another room. The manager was just short of rude, not at all apologetic or pleasant. That evening we went to the bar for a a quick bite to eat and ordered Caesar salads - they were just lettuce loaded with mayo, 2-3 strips of chicken. a tsp of parm cheese and 2-3 croutons. It was inedible. We had to wipe off the mayo to eat the lettuce. Breakfast the next morning was better, but nothing special. Overall the experience was not positive and I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

It was walking distance to what we wanted to see

Bed was crooked as it was called a family room definitely not enough room for 3 people

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Grassmarket Square mit Blick auf Edinburgh Castle. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, komfortabel und elegant. Die Pflegeprodukte sind hervorragend. 18 £ pro Tag für den sicheren Parkplatz direkt hinter dem Hotel ist auch in Ordnung. Es gibt auf jeder Ebene Wasserspender mit gefilterte Wasser.
