Yes, there is construction and remodeling going on. However, that did not affect our oceanfront room and the beach at all. The service was fantastic and I don't remember the last time that ALL staff members were so on top of it. Even the grounds staff said hello in passing. The spa was also fabulous. We will definitely return!

The construction has caused some disruption but, to me, only minimally. Yes, there's no pool but the sister resort a short distance away has one. And the gym and gym classes are in a less scenic location than they were before. Also, food service is different, some places are better and some worse than before construction. The ocean views are still beautiful and room prices are reduced. Staff are conscientious and welcoming. To me, it's still worth it.

Renovations ongoing for months, ruining the summer and all the holidays. Noisy, ugly- big equipment all around and is an eyesore. Apparently this has been going on for a long time. The traffic is a mess as they are also redoing the street. NO POOL AVAILABILITY by the beach. Honestly, it is a mess. We have been here many times before and it has always been lovely. I have no idea why they are doing this renovation when they did one not that long ago.

Woman who checked me in was rude and condescending. I booked through Expedia originally and asked if I could add a day to my stay. She tried to tell me she couldn’t honor the rate or keep me in the same room until I explained how ridiculous that sounds…and this woman appeared to be a “manager” Ridiculous, even her co workers and valet guy were embarrassed!
