Never stayed the night but did go to the restaurant. The waitresses were not so welcoming in the bar area. Waiting forever to order food and even longer for drinks !! Don’t come here on the weekend!!

Beautiful property with potential w/some more hospitality, customer service,& amenities for the price. Front desk is a closet / no lobby. The Rooms are beautiful but all the textiles seem like they came from ikea. (which is not bad but not luxury). The overhead lamp we could not turn it off/on so had to unplug it from the wall. Upon inquiry that was the only way bc it didn’t have a switch. Robes are not plush. stairs to the loft are dangerously steep but unique. In room coffee, bottle of Rose & tea are the only thing you will get complementary. My teapot had water in it ( therefore was not clean). At night it’s super dark but no nightlight. Unwrapped cotton balls and quips in bathroom. Restaurant food was amazing but getting a res was difficult. I got a call a week before asking if I’d like res for dinner; I called back and left messages 2x w/out any response. Our first night they could not get us in to eat so we ate in the bar & the next night 5pm or 515 were the only openings. (mind you there are no restaurants close by).So we ate early for us and it wasn't busy at all. We asked for the firepit to be turned on to finish our wine there - girl in the office didn’t know how to light it. 45min later she got it turned on (wine was done by then). No water refill stations. Very small store was closed for inventory. We left a day early & went to Napa and stayed at an amazing place where the customer service and hospitality put them to shame for the same price.

There's a reason Sea Ranch is famous: it's gorgeous. As to the lodge: every room has a big window that looks out onto the Pacific Ocean which is about 200 meters west of the Lodge. There are no TVs or telephones in the rooms! There is a lovely little restaurant and bar with huge picture windows. Honestly, it reminded me of the White Lotus: an impossibly lovely place that only rich people go to. I decided to be rich for one night and it was worth it.

"Terrible Service and Staff!"

2.0

I just made a reservation at the Sea Ranch Lodge (one of the condo units). I have repeatedly asked them via several emails to send me confirmation of my reservation, and they cannot even be bothered to respond to me. This is not the experience you expect from a supposedly high end resort -

"Almost perfect 🤷‍♀️"

6.0

The rooms was great, spacious and comfortable with lots of extras like wine, walking sticks and a fireplace. I would have loved to give a 5 star review, because the grounds are amazing with spectacular views, but the service at the restaurant was not great. We were greeted by the host who asked if we had reservations? I would have thought due to the remote location of the Inn that if I had a room, I could have a table, but no we had to order from the bar menu, at the bar then sit up in a loft or on a couch to eat. The waitress was nice but trying to keep up with too many areas, we had to go place our order at the bar, go get our own drinks and wait the longest time for our meal, my cocktail did not even come until I was almost finished with my meal then the bill took over 20 minutes to be taken care of. I promise I'm not a fussy person, but for the price of the stay, the service was not what it should have been.

"Overpriced, no service, beautiful grounds"

4.0

This place would have been very nice for $250/night, but it’s more than twice that. Booked an ADA room (#1…which it wasn’t, LOL) for no reason other than it was the last available. There was no service after 6pm, though they text proactively about a “remote assistant.” Our room was a bit blah…lovely view, comfortable bed, but an unusable fireplace area, and a beautiful oceanfront view…but buggy, with no screens on the windows. So you essentially can’t open the windows and hear/smell the sea, even that’s the main reason for being at this very expensive resort. Had the most amazing walk on the grounds, but then had weird nonexistent service in the dining room (food pretty good, but nothing special). Couldn’t sleep at all because there were people walking by the room (too centrally located), plus there’s a huge overhead outdoor light shining right into a big window with no screen, no shade, and no ability to block the light. Ridiculous. Mentioned all of the above to staff and they could not have cared less. I don’t leave bad reviews online typically, but am angry to have spent so much here to be asked for my opinion via email and then completely ignored. I’d recommend taking a walk here, maybe grabbing a glass of wine, and staying elsewhere.

""we lost our hearts" in"

10.0

the newly opened Sea Ranch Lodge which provided an exceptional , privileged stay along this beautiful stretch of California coast. The opening of rooms in the new lodge was very recent, however we found everything was tuned perfectly even at this early stage. Our room was beautiful, melded into the environment with exceptional architecture, cabinetry , art work, rug, bedding and bath...the lodge is not intrusive and offers so much...serenity, disconnect, calm, beauty and a feeling of being one with the landscape...we are greatful we could experience this exceptional property...dining /food excellent...breakfast cafe perfect...thank you all at Sea Ranch...you did a wonderful job in providing us everything we needed. We will definitely return!!

"Beautifully renovated Lodge with some service issues"

8.0

Start with the positives - the newly renovated lodge is very tastefully done in an exquisite setting. The rooms have are nicely appointed with a natural aesthetic, tall ceilings, and gorgeous views. Nice amenities such as wine, pour over coffee and candle are included. A very comfortable room all around, with a lovely window seat looking out at the Pacific. The food at the restaurant and bar was generally very good, service was friendly but a little slow at times. The setting is even more gorgeous than the photos. There are great walks on the property and a cool beach nearby to explore. You can also walk for miles along the bluff, adjacent to Sea Ranch communities of modest homes. The stars at night are stunning! We reserved the Deluxe Lodge Studio which on the web site is listed as having a fireplace and a loft. Unfortunately we discovered that the brand new fireplace did not work and the loft was not yet accessible. After alerting the front desk, we were told that the loft was not completed yet from the recent renovation, and that the previous guest had broken the fireplace. No maintenance service was available to address the issues during the day while we were out, after our first of two nights. I requested an adjustment in our premium room rate ($950/night), as without these features we were essentially staying in a Deluxe Room, not a Deluxe Studio. I did not receive a response from the manager to my request while on property, or from a survey I completed after departing outlining the issues. This is a RED FLAG for the property - not a good sign for customer service or management, which is unfortunate given how nice the property is.

"Beautiful deck for a drink. - A Dinner menu for everyone, beautiful views and perfect service. Lots of families."

10.0

We visited twice - the first time was an afternoon where we stopped by and enjoyed a drink on their outdoor deck. It was crawling with preschoolers - some with parents who watched them and some who didn’t. But view was stunning and vibe nice. So we returned for Dinner the next night. Food was fine but not amazing. Lots of solid choices, but clearly to please an older crowd. Odd as there were so many 30-40’s. The service was great! Unrushed , personable and very professional. It’s really the view and vibe here. At night the view is minimal and we decided to go to dinner at 8 pm to avoid the marauding toddlers. I would definitely try again in daylight hours or with friends. Perhaps a different time of year to avoid young ones.
