Great location of this well priced hotel is an advantage. Simple but clean hotel. Warm welcome by staff. Tipical neighbourhood and within 15 minutes pleasant walking distance to the city centre. WLAN for free. I like it!

I thought the room was very small and unfortunately Bern was in the middle of a thunderstorm on a very hot day and the room had no air conditioning or fan. Opening the only window onto a courtyard backed onto by all the neighbouring residential properties made not a difference to the temperature in the room but did allow in a lot of noise and a stray mosquito. I know that bern is not usually that hot but perhaps the time has come for the hotel to look at air conditioning.

Stayed here for 2 Nights over weekend. Location is near to university a 10 minutes walk from Bern Station on other side of Old town. Quite neighborhood and good clean room to stay.

This is an acceptable hotel for a business traveller on a budget. The hotel is well located and close to public transport links. The bed in my room was a single bed and was not very comfortable so I did not sleep as well as I would have liked. Shower facility was quite good. The breakfast was basic but good quality and acceptable. Staff were pleasant. No free WiFi - Swisscom payment options seemed to be very expensive. Every morning on my short stay there was a loud banging noise from somewhere in the hotel about 6am.

Rooms are clean and simple but met with my requirements. It is a no frills hotel but perfect for anyone who just needs a place to put down their head at night.

Convenient location near the university, a 10-15 minute walk from the train station, and 15-20 min. to the city center. Clean, modern room but very small. Reception desk is not manned 24 hours. I used the buzzer to gain access to the hotel the first time and checked-in myself. Worked for me. Included breakfast is offered until late with a good selection. Wireless internet access is fast, through a swisscom hotspot, but must be paid separately. A computer is available near the reception and seems rarely used.

Decent hotel in expensive city. Room is clean but small. Lobby had public Internet PC, no Wifi. I checked in on Sunday evening, no front desk staff, keys left in the lobby. Breakfast was included but I didn't know about it. Location is ok, you need to take bus from the main station, walking will take 15 minutes. Neighborhood looks fine.

The location of the hotel is very convenient with only a <10 min walk or short bus to the main train station and old town. It is located in close to the university and the surroundings are very nice. The rooms have all recently been refurbished and the breakfast room is just about to re-open (early Aug 2011). Highly recommended.
