Nice hotel in quiet neighbourhood less than 10 minutes from railway station.friendly staff, free wi fi and complementary travel pass for bern public transport, nice continental breakfast served fom 6.30 - 10.30.will stay again next time in town.

Very convenient location - this is the third time I've stayed but the first time I was told I can have a free bus pass for the city tax that is automatically paid. It would have been helpful to have known that the last times! Please give a mug in the room instead of a cup! There are lots of giveaways in the room and I would rather have a cheaper price thank so many take away items.

I checked in late night. Reception was close but my key was left in reception and so I did not have any difficulty. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was reasonable.

There were ground works happening on the premises which we weren't informed about. The breakfast was great but would have appreciated to know that we were staying in a construction site

The Arabelle Hotel caters to a somewhat younger crowd. It is a short walk from Berne's main railway station, located near the university, and has two bus lines, one that takes you directly into the old town and out to the Paul Klee museum. The rooms are furnished in a modern style and are spotless and quiet. The breakfast is ample - cold cuts, chesse, hard-boiled eggs, yoghurt, and bread or rolls with butter and jam. I would highly recommend this hotel for business travelers, tourists, or families, both for its convenient location and its good value.

This is really a budget hotel. No bells and whistles. If you just need a place to lay your head for a few days, it's okay. It is extremely close to public transit...just a minute's walk to the bus stop. You could also walk to main station in 10 minutes. Staff were pleasant. It has NO AIR CONDITIONING...so if outside is warm, it can be uncomfortable in the room. Generally okay to get you through a few days.

One of the receptionists was very rude and impolite when we asked about the heater that was not working. She said that it was supposed to work only during the day, not in the night.

We only stayed here one night and it was ok. We were located in a building separate from the reception and had to cross a couryard to get to it. Reception was less than enthusiastic. Breakfast was good. Getting internet wasn't as easy to log into compared to other hotels we've stayed in. Unfortunately didn't have enough time to explore the neighbourhood but did go to a nearby (1km away) museum.

I understood by the confirmation that I was paid in full. They demanded that I pay 5.60 Francs when departing for city taxes, which I then paid. I gave them the confirmation sheet which they made a copy. Actually when I first came in, they wanted another $280 and said I only paid for one day. She then said she would talk to the manager the next day about it. Rather discouraging to walk into this situation. Any comment???
