Sorell Hotel Arabelle Bern

Great check in and helpful staff. Awesome breakfast with eggs , bacon, lots of bread muffins cereAl, cheese , coffee. Location was about 10 min walk from center bit they give a bus pass which was very convenient if you don’t want to walk. Bed was not comfortable but the rest of the stay was fantastic.

Loved the location. Right by public transportation but quiet at the same time. 10 mins walk to center & railway station. Room is small but good enough. There are no ACs in Bern but open window & fan were good enough. Only issue is theres an apartment complex across rooms in the back & there was a rowdy young bunch that would make a lot of noise all DAY till 1-2 am. You can hear them talking in the whole complex. Unusual for Switzerland. Somehow the hotel is connected to this complex. People come and go through the hotel.

Friendly staff. Weather was extremely hot and the rooms were not air conditioned.

The good: staff we’re very helpful and very nice! The breakfast was good. The bad: the beds were not comfortable, our family of four were booked on the top floor we had no windows only skilights. When we took a shower, water was coming out through the bathroom door rolling down to almost the main entrance door of the room. We stayed on the 5th floor, but the elevator only goes to the 4th floor so we had to take 3 large suitcases up the stairs. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Booked the hotel for a work thing, just one night. Convenient location. Room was mostly quite clean, however there were cobwebs in the corners and a spider in one corner. The rooms was nice other than that. Very thin walls/floors so could here other hotel guests very well. Breakfast was good. Over all a okay place to sleep, but nothing special. Maybe not so good for light sleepers.

Good location in university district. Only 10 minutes walk or quick bus ride from city centre. Local transportation is fantastic and you get a free travel pass for the duration of your stay. Pleasant and helpful reception staff who recommended restaurants. Wi-fi works well. Fair choice of wholesome and tasty food at breakfast. Rooms need some refurbishment. Our shower door was broken. Rather thin towels.Loved the little rubber duck that you can take home. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

A little far from the central area but transport card was given. Pillows were extremely flat and empty, making it hard to sleep.

Good basic hotel. Near local Bern & train station. Bus pass given at beginning of stay for duration of stay. Problem was very high temps so room extrememly hot. No air conditioning due to weather unusual. Unfortunately only one window so couldn't create cross ventilation to cool things down. Staff VERY helpful.
