Sandman Hotel & Suites Prince George

The room was spacious,clean and was so nice to have a good sized kitchen in the room. Staff were always friendly and available. Free... Coffee, Tee and Hot Chocolate in the lobby was great. Was also nice to have access to an indoor pool.

Nothing really

Coming from driving 6hrs, I was really so exhausted. We were told the room was located on the adjacent bldg, on the 2nd floor. There were no elevators so we can only use the stairs with our luggage only to find out there were no access going to the to opposite side of that bldg. Like literarily, we are on the same bldg on the same floor as our room number but it was on the other side with no access. So we have to climb down with our luggage in tow, take another stairs at the back with no clear direction which way was the way to our room number. Worse, when we get there the door knob was broken, like we can’t lock the door. I was already too tired but the door was facing a residential area with no fence or safety barricade, so I called the reception about the door knob problem but I was told she’s alone so if I would want to transfer to a different room I need to go down and pass those maze of a way to get the keys.

The front desk called our room twice at 620am stating they were checking to see if we were in our room because someone found our key. We had gotten in late the night before and had a 12 hour drive ahead of us, the 2 phone calls woke up both children as well. The hotel is old, pain chipping, wall paper peeling on spots, the carpet worn thread bare..
