Mariposa Hotel

Very nice staff, took care of several problems. The worst TV channels & reception ever! The curtains had sheer whites in the middle that did not block the lights from outside. 2 guests, but we only got 2 washrags on 2 days of a 5 day stay. Leaving towels hanging didn't keep them from being replaced, the non eco friendly part. Sub par breakfast. Thank goodness I like instant oatmeal and toast. The first morning I discovered the plug by the sink didn't work for a hairdryer. They fixed it that day while we were at work, but when we got back the pipe from the sink drain to the wall was disconnected and water everywhere. They fixed that the next day, too. Offered to move us but, more trouble than it was worth. As I said, a very pleasant staff. Room needed towel bars, 0. Recently redone. Shower no door just partial glass wall that did not stop water from pouring onto floor. Showerhead could only be turned slightly from center, to try to avoid the flood. Painter painted the tile wall next to the door as well as the door trim. No light by the full length mirror. No space to put your stuff by the sink. Long walk up & down stairs to only one ice machine.

The Mariposa is an older hotel. The rooms are clean and the staff are very helpful. The internet connect was non existant at times and the TV had to be rebooted by a staff member to get it to work. The channels were very limited.

I liked that this hotel is very close to Safeway and a few other food options. I did not like that I was given a key to a room with a person already in there. I was given a new key only for it not to work. After the third time it finally worked. The rooms are very run down but the beds were comfortable. If you are okay sleeping in a run down hotel for a night then stay here
