The front desk person who had worked from 4 am to 10 pm on the 22nd, and Florence, a previous employee who stepped in at the last minute and was helping the only other housekeeper who showed up for work on the 23rd. She helped me tremendously.

The room I had called and requested from Sierra (for the 1st floor since I have difficulty with stairs) at around 4 pm on the 22nd was later accidentally given to someone else by someone who was helping at the front desk. The next room she gave me was in the second building, in which the smell of smoke permeated everything. I checked on that room, and it was disgusting. I turned on the AC and it clattered and clanked at such a decibel level, that it hurt my ears. I went back to the front and only the kiosk was available. The woman there gave me room 112 and gave me incorrect directions as to how to find it. I got the key, opened the door, and a man sprang up out of bed, shouting at me. I was mortified. I went back to the kiosk, the woman was apologetic, and then the man got on. He kept trying to find the housekeeper to clean a room on the first floor to no avail. Then he insisted on an upstairs room which would be difficult for me with no one to help me get my things up there. Then, after a while, he told me that he would give me a free room for another day. I asked him to find me a room at another location, even in the next town which he would not do. This whole ordeal was so disappointing on so many levels. The worst problem I could see was that there was no one physically in charge at the motel from 10 pm until the next morning's shift. No security person, no night person, no one. Many people rang the front desk and eventually came downstairs to find no living human meeting in charge of that property, and the hotel was at capacity. Unbelievable! I have yet to hear what the kiosk people were going to do for me. I have contacted Booking.com and registered a complaint with them as to the events and unprofessional manner that was evident in the handling of my reservation. I was even encouraged by Sierra to go ahead with dinner plans with my grown grandson before checking in late, as it would help their small crew to finish cleaning the rooms.

Very dirty. No customer service or front desk help.
