Super 8 by Wyndham Eau Claire I-94

Very dated, not maintained

Upon arrival the door to the Laundry/maintenance room was open laundry on floor and dirty looking. Not a good 1st impression. The attendant at the front desk seemed unengaged, like he didn't want to be there. He didn't ask how many keycards we needed. The wifi password on the keycard jacket was not legible. The AC remote didn't work had to climb on a chair to turn on. Mulitple window screens were cut or ripped. We had to ask for an additional bath towel, only 2 were supplied. The shampoo/condition and body wash dispensers were empty or not working. The room used for breakfast was absolutely disgustingly dirty. The counters, floor and garbage can lid looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in a long time, this was only 30 min. Into breakfast. Breakfast offered, was very limited to 2 cereals, yogurt, oranges & waffles, which the dispenser wasn't working or the mix was still frozen. In fact my husband was so disgusted by the uncleaniness of the breakfast area he left without finishing eating. I made 3 trips to the front desk and had to call for an attendant each time. Even to check out nobody was available even after ringing the bell. Extremely disappointed with this facilities lack of attention to the simple things like appearance, cleanliness & customer service. It appears the facility had gone thru some type of remodeling but attention to the details and craftsmenship was totally ignored and missed.

Room was hot. AC didn’t work. Tv didn’t work. The remote was broken. Just terrible over all for $140/night. Should be like 30/night. TERRIBLE

Bait and switch!! Was told our Hotels.com reservation was canceled. (Our reservation was still on the Hotels.com site.) But, they had a room available for full price. Argued with the desk clerk, but he was very abusive.

Breakfast, cold coffee, no juice machine broken, no bowls for cereal, pastry was twinkies and cupcakes no toast, no muffins and only 2 very brown bananas…

Very poor customer service.. rundown.. outside was not groomed.. garbage.. weeds everywhere.. a/c did not work well and TV was constantly searching for service.. food was terrible for breakfast in a dingy locked room..

Rooms where dirty. Bathrooms where filthy, hair and etc all over the floor. Shower head barely worked and what did come out of it it sprayed more out of shower than in. Whole building was dingy, the entry doors weren't locked so anybody at anytime could just walk in doors. Room keys stopped working 4 hrs before checkout. Checking in took forever, even tho I preregistered online the night before but still took forever. Then worker tried givinge one room with one queen bed for me and my friend when I booked and paid for two separate rooms

We didn't have a ton of expectations, rightfully so. The hotel had signs saying that it had been non-smoking since 2010, but it still had the 'old cigarette' smell throughout the building 15 years later. Continental breakfast was ok, cereal was a little stale, and while they had a gallon of milk for the cereal, there was no bowls anywhere, just plates and cups. The sink in our room was terribly clogged and slow draining and we did have to ask for more toilet paper on day 1 (three day stay and we were given less than a 1/4 of a roll), we ran out completely by the end, soap in the shower ran out as well because they didn't refill it. No bedbugs or anything gross like that, description said 'unassuming hotel' and that's a pretty accurate description.
