This hotel is a dump. Everything was in disrepair. The staff was not friendly. Blanket and other items on the bed were not clean. The shower dial was broken. The hairdryer didn't work. The lighting was poor. There are three floors and no elevator. Everything was in disrepair. We hated the hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. In addition, there was a person in the lobby upon check in and sitting on the ground outside the entrance who was clearly on drugs. It was disgusting.
We were unable to check in. The power was out, which was not noted on the website, so we paid for a room. The doors were locked and we couldn't stay. They have not responded to my request for a refund. Will never do business again unless they do. Please update your website if your rooms are unavailable.

Due to a storm the night before, the hotel was without electrical service. Since we were on bicycles, we had to call family in Grand Rapids to pick us up. Is this type of event eligible for a refund?

Bathroom needs an update, broken tile, excessive caulk everywhere. Typical Hindu, Muslim repair tactic. Don't fix it, just put a band aid on it 😵💫. I was a big fan of Choice Hotels, but our stays this year driving down to Nashville, and this recent trip along Lake Michigan (Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Roadway) have been disappointing, all Hindu/Muslim managed franchises. I was impressed with Roadway in Grand Haven Michigan, they were remodeling rooms, contemporary decor. Do you guys actually inspect these places? We stopped at Quality Inn in Indiana where we walked out. They had a sign at lobby desk requiring a $100 deposit if you used a credit card. The counter was shielded off by plexiglass ( another trademark by theses franchise owners)
