Super 8 by Wyndham Huron

We were there overnight one night. It was a good stay. The breakfast was very nice. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Price. Location close to stores.

Very invasive staff. Since they have no smoking policy, I went outside to smoke. 5 hours in, a worker came to investigate cigarette smells. I let him in, he found NOTHING. This happened the second day AS WELL. I got the room to visit my daughter. We received flack for her needing a key and asked where the other guy was. He was my uncle, who dropped me off and did not stay in the room. I don't see why I was being interrogated because the room was for 2 and I was by myself. I even paid $30 extra for early check-in. That same day. Another couple rented a poolside room for a birthday party. Three kids arrived to help celebrate and were advised they were going to be charged 15$ per child extra who was using the pool. This was in the open in front of other guests. After all this, I called my daughter, gave up the room and stayed with my daughter. I lost my money for the second night, but would rather do that then stay there. The clerk just laughed at me when I said I was going to file a complaint. I have stayed at many Super 8's with no problems.... They have good hotels, just not the one in Huron South Dakota.

Breakfast has changed with no options, hot tub was low on water and green. We have stayed here several over the past year. This has been the most disappointing stay.

Hot tub not working. Mother-in-law here about 2 yrs ago didn't work then. Also hand rails in pool room very loss.

Where my room was located

Bathroom was infested with ants. Hot tub smelled like alfalfa. Not enough towels for 4 guests. I fell into the hot tub and hurt my knee and ankle.

We only liked the fact that it was pet friendly. Even though I was quoted 15.00 for our pets. The price doubled when we checked in!

The room was so cold. Hubby had to go get a blanket. Was told that HE ( meaning my husband) needed to put the wall switch down to cool ( yep! For heat!) And plug it in. ( did all that, and still no heat!) Now, shouldn't they have made sure the room we booked was ready to go? We had zero towels or wash cloths ( had to get those ourselves from the front desk). The shower head was disgusting! Breakfast was horrible!! The juice and water dispenser didn't work! When you pushed for cold water, the water was warm. As was the apple juice. When you pushed down for orange juice, 3 streams of warm water dispensed! There was 1 peanut butter. 1 yogurt. No coffee . The toilet was leveled with what looked like a thin magazine? The smoke detector was coming off the ceiling. I'm not sure if it was even functional! If you are handicapped and can't do stairs. Do not stay here. There are stairs only ,even 2 flights of stairs to get to the breakfast area!! I can't believe this is a Wyndom property! I expect more from a Wyndom. I also hope someone from booking checks into this place. As this super 8 is definitely NOT like the pictures!!

The place needs to be updated looked old, inside and out. Breakfast could have more options. Also hot tub was dirty. Probably would stay somewhere else next time. The staff was very pleasant to talk to and helpful. The price was good and convenient.

The room was very well priced, the beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. The pillows were not my favorite and the breakfast was your typical low budget hotel breakfast, but there was plenty of it there! Overall I would definitely stay here again!
