Super 8 by Wyndham Melrose

Very bad no staff around

Wyndham has been upgrading their inventory of motels but they have not gotten to this one yet. I will just list things that were bad: Dirty carpets; dirty windows; the window in my room did not open; I did not accept the first room because it smelled bad; the second room had a broken security lock on the door so I wedged a chair against it for safety; the microwave was broken; the breakfast was watery eggs; no coffee pot in the room; the blanket was well past its lifespan and more. It was kind of creepy in a dark and overused way. I am a Wyndham owner and have had pretty good luck with Super 8s, especially when they have been renovated. This one not so much. I would have changed hotels but I was very very tired. They also charged a refundable $75 security fee which I had not encountered before. That was several days ago and I am watching my credit card to make sure I get that back.

Old fashioned, very noisy, muddy parking lot. Very rude and unfriendly main staff.

Just needed a place to sleep for two nights while in town. Smaller rooms, but comfortable and provided what we needed.

Doesn’t have elevator. Steps are hard to go up and down with luggage. Very small motel.

Communication was poor, shower only worked part of the time, breakfast selection very limited... I got charged twice for one stay

The room was dirty especially the refrigerator not clean it had melting ice cream
