Super Inn

We had a two day visit at Super8 in Carlisle Pa. Although the hotel is a bit outdated we had a very pleasant experience. The facility was very clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was just coffee, juice and muffins, but that seems to be the norm in most places since the pandemic. I would definitely recommend staying here

I enjoyed the AC working and the hot shower water. The bed was confortable but other than that, thry stay was iffy. The wifi didnt work, I was told there was a pool but I didnt see one when I was there. House keeping kept trying to enter our room every morning, to clean. Our cards continually aropped working. There was obvious water damage on the 1st floor.

The shower was bad, was clean but not enough water pressure.

This property was old and attempts at cleaning were evident. However, our rooms were not serviced and we had to go find staff to support. Staff was rude and not really interested in assisting. The fire doors were missing from the stairwells on our floor. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I would not recommend anyone,even my worst enemies to stay there. They wanted a fifty dollar “Surety”. I gave her a Master Card. She said it didn’t go through. I gave Her a Visa. She said it went through. When I checked my bank recent charges, there was 4 charges on each totaling over $200.00 on each card. Upon confronting Her and her asst, they assured me that a full refund was done. My Credit Card Companies both stated that it could take 5-7 days for the credits to appear on my accounts. I questioned each why it didn’t take 5-7 days for the charges to appear. No comment other than that’s the way it is. I need to follow up. A pain in the ass. Oh yea, I had to demand a receipt from Her assistant when I checked out the next morning. Good possibility that I will remove you from my booking source

So used to staying at hotels that do not allow smoking in the rooms. Did not notice that the reservation I made was for a smoking room. My fault. However when checking in was not told that I had a smoking room. Got to the room and it was hot because the AC was completely turned off. The room had a musty smell to it. The mattress was not comfortable at all. One our trip this time we had stayed at two other Super 8 and they were great. This had to be the worst Super 8 I have ever stayed in. Not worth the outrageous high price they charged for the room.

When we walked into the room it stunk. Smelled like it had not been cleaned in a year. The carpets were filthy & had large stains on them. The bedspreads were dirty and had stains also. Thankfully the sheets were clean. The bathroom was okay. We had driven a long while and were very tired otherwise we would have checked out & found a different hotel. I realize Super 8 is a bare bones hotel but I expected it to be clean! We should have taken pictures of the room but we had already left when I noticed this review request.
