Red Roof Inn St George, SC

This room was filthy. Dust stacked up thick everywhere. Hair all over bathroom floor and in shower. Multiple roaches were witnessed. Dead bugs and dirt were in the drawers. Stains all over the linens. Requested new linens and were told no. Asked for a refund and staff laughed and walked away. Do not stay here. It had a good rating so we didn’t expect these issues. Don’t be fooled. Stay elsewhere.

The front desk guy was super nice and the parking lot is very well lit. Good for a nights passing through but it’s not clean (stains on sheets, black dirt in a/c unit and bathroom looks like mold.

This is an older hotel that appears to have been redone. It is right off I-95 so no view and plain looking on outside. But I was pleasantly surprised with the room. It was clean, fairly large, with a comfortable bed. I was only staying one night and it was perfect for that. Desk clerk was polite. Hotel allows dogs and had a dog area. There's only 2 floors and I was able to park right in front of my room which was on the ground floor. Incredibly convenient for me especially traveling alone. Very pleased.

Arrived and greeted in timely fashion. Reception area was clean and bright. Parking lot is well lit. This RR has exterior entry doors to rooms. Easy to park in front. All king rooms upstairs, none on ground floor. Large green area for dog walking. No pet fee for first dog. Quiet for our overnight stay.

About the only good thing we can say is that the beds were comfortable. The room was not clean. We found food on the table. It appeared that the room had not been vacuumed in quite some time either. There was no hot water, making it difficult to take a shower. The coffee machine came on by itself and water went everywhere. I don't recommend staying here until some improvements are made. We will not be staying here again.

This property had a professional and friendly staff, a smooth check in process and worked with me to honor a request for a ground floor room. They offered pet stays with no extra fees. Honestly, this was the main reason I chose this property. The room was equipped with a microwave and refrigerator which was very convenient. The room was clean but smelled musty, the bedding was old, the linens were threadbare and stained. Furnishings were in poor condition (the desk lamp was completely rusted) and as soon as we turned on the heating unit we became congested and began sneezing. We had to forgo heating on this stay.

The room was not clean, the lamp fixtures were rusty, the soap in the shower was the size of a breath mint, the tiny shampoo had been refilled, the front door was rotted through, the TV was snowy on every channel, the bath towel was very small. Red Roof is permanently off my list of options.
