OYO Hotel Houston, TX near Medical Center NRG Stadium

DO NOT RESERVE HERE! The pictures on the site are nothing like when you arrive. It is a run down, raunchy, motel. Definitely false advertisement, was there for a concert and was met by a line of people cancelling their reservations for motel being unsafe, populated by many strange men and people outside. Rooms had all their doors open, beds were unmade and men and homeless people were sleeping in the stairs and outside rooms.

When we arrived at this hotel, there was a sign reading we don't have rooms available. The door was locked so i couldn't go inside to cancel the stay. I tried canceling via the app, no luck with that either.

When we arrived thank goodness the front desk attendant told us to assess the room prior to agreeing to check in because she knew the poor condition of the property and rooms. The room was repulsive and the OYO brand should be ashamed to be actively listing rooms at this property knowing the uninhabitable conditions of the rooms. I understand that the OYO just acquired this property but keep it shuttered until it’s up to par!! I wouldn’t even let an animal sleep in those rooms! Needless to say I declined the room and stayed elsewhere!

This Hotel is nothing like the pictures it was under construction did not feel safe no toilet paper real dirty

It was run down and there wasn’t even staff on site to check in. Waiting ton hear back on a refund.

I did not like that the property was filthy (trash and mattresses in the parking lot) and was obviously a heavy drug use property and not at all safe. We chose not to stay there in fear for our lives.

The staff was very friendly, even with a midnight check in they kept my reservation. the only problem was there was a few roaches in the room.
