OYO Hotel Houston, TX near Medical Center NRG Stadium

Needed a place to stay after getting stuck in Houston. The owner and her husband were so sweet. I have no complaints about that. They were given a s*** show of a motel and are trying to fix it. However, it’s in a sketchy part of town, the sheets were used, there were cockroaches, and panhandlers were everywhere. It’s not the safest place to stay, but I had no other choice. They tried their best but I was super sketched out. I’ll check them out again in a year to give them time to revamp.

This place is beyond horrendous. The first room I was put in, there was human feces on the bathroom floor, blood stained sheets, and overall disgusting. The room I was “upgraded” to wasn’t any better. There were cockroaches and bugs everywhere. Not only did I sleep with cockroaches, I came back to find that my room was ROBBED while I was gone. Whoever did this took everything. All of my work clothes, my extra work boots, all of the food in the refrigerator, my razor, ALL of my medications. Instead of helping to resolve the situation, I was asked not to return once I checked out because they didn’t want “police presence” at their property! This was the worst experience of my entire life.

I have reported them to the Texas Department of State Health Services. Just dont bother going there. No doors, plumbin, or AC. Good luck sleeping there.

This is the worst experience ever, we booked it but when we got there the lady said we dont have reservations and at their end said its still processing, she said there's no available room and she cant do anything for us. what a big joke. dont ever dare to book that OYO hotel, it was a nightmare

We booked a hotel a week earlier and when we get there they said that we didn’t have a reservation but they already took money from my bank so I just have to dispute and have to find another hotel right away

Drove up and the place looked abandoned. Vagrants directed me to the on-site house keeping that said there are no rooms due to renovations and ringing the bell to get a key never came into view nor acknowledged a visitor.

The room condition was not good at all.

The property is listed as a hotel on expedia site and labeled as a motel upon arrival This is the truth and I’m not revising what I said
