OYO Hotel Houston, TX near Medical Center NRG Stadium

Do not book this place, not safe and a disaster. A newly “renovated room” which was terrible, no outlet covers, no shower curtains, no window curtains, door that was broken into.

This property did not honor the reservation. They physically locked the door and insisted that no rooms were available on the second night. On the first night I was told that there was one room, but that it was really bad. The room was grotesque. One light could not be turn off. The room was dirty. There were transients walking up and down the halls. Do not go here.

THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL IN THE HISTORY OF HOTELS , THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT BE OPEN , & THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND CIGARETTE & MILDEW SMELL, THIS PLACE IS NOT FIT TO BE OPEN !

> Booked stay for 12/02-12/03 at 10pm > Called Oyo number listed on Google to confirm if they had availability (because Expedia will take your money on last minute bookings but not refund you if there is no vacancy when you arrive) > Rude rep heard my situation and tells me I have to check in at 3pm. I explain the situation and he keeps repeating himself so I hang up. > 20 minutes later another man calls and assures me there’s a room waiting for me. I just had to make a payment to a link he sends. I ask repeatedly if I’m able to check in right then and he assures me I have nothing to worry about. It felt like a scam due to the call coming from no where. Nonetheless, I make the payment because my wife and kid were sleep and tired. > Go back to the car ,where my son and wife are waiting, and decide to drive there. Did not realize I was there bc the sign said another name and suspicious people loitering outside the hotel. > I arrived at the hotel at 3am 12/03 where I see a no vacancy sign. Walk to night window and clear behind the glass the check in lady is sleep with a sign that reads “no vacancies”. >I call the number back and the guy tells me everything is fine just check in. I said there’s no vacancy. And he reassures me again. He asked to let him talk to the front desk and ask if there is vacancies.. >I woke her up and She said “No” and went back to sleep

The hotel was sketchy when I pulled up. Once in the lobby I patiently waited for the desk attendants help checking in but she had someone before me. Which wasn’t a problem until that one person turned into a 30 minute conversation between her the guess and another member of staff. Once I finally got my room, none of the light work the bed had stain crumbs and little hair shaving on it, the microwave and fridge did not work, and there was no shower curtain, it looked as if the room was mopped and that’s it. But the really horrible part was the people getting high with needles right outside my room and the roaches that were everywhere inside and out. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

i booked for a week stay. upon arrival, i realized that the rooms were nothing like in the pictures online. i requested a non smoking room, they gave me the least smelly room because there were no real non smoking rooms. room was infested with roaches. i had to go out and buy my own roach bait. on about like the 5th day, they showed up around 8 am to spray concentrated pesticides. i clearly had to leave the room for a couple of hours. it is also located in a really bad area of town. there is a group of drug addicts that gather on the complex to just “hang out”. one day i stepped out to the car and found a guy just peeing out in the apt sidewalk. i had asked to speak to the owner but they were always unavailable. definitely do not recommend. expedia should update their listing to show what this place is really like. definitely not recommended

This property & staff is the perfect example of why you should always, 1.Read the fine print. 2.check out the property. Do not to rush the process of lodging. That's if you have any ethics!! However if don't have any this is the perfect place for ya!¡!!

I enjoyed my stay. The staff is amazing, extremely friendly and very efficient. There is one housekeeper (not Annie) that would skip me every time she cleaned though. I didnt need services but making sure I didn't need anything would have been nice. They go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. It's like family. the parking is pretty good. They are doing renovations on some rooms but the rooms are nice and comfortable. It's reasonably priced. I will definitely keep this location saved for the future and will definitely recommend this place to others.

Fleapit, unsafe, shady deals going on in the parking lot. Room smelt strongly of mold and sadness. Exposed sheetrock on wall. I took 2 seconds in the room and left the place. Don’t book !

No clean at all
