Super 8 by Wyndham Riverside/Kansas City

This place is in the middle of everything we were doing this weekend. Only a 15 min drive to Legoland, TMobile Center, and anywhere else we went! Checking in was easy and checking out was even easier! There are some improvements to the property that are needed but all in all great place for the price!

This hotel was within 15 minutes driving distance of everything we wanted to do. Very good spot and quiet. There are some updates that the property needs but all in all great price, great location, and good times.

I would like to compliment the Mgr. and Staff for making my stay beyond expectations. I scheduled a stay, but had a last minute Emergency. I was unable to cancel d/t third-party arrangements, but I called the location itself and spoke with them and they assisted in holding the room without extra charge. The accommodation was very clean and close to any extra things needed. I will be scheduling future visits.

We stayed in RM 108 and the room was very nice, clean and beds and pillows were comfortable. Great water pressure and didn't have to wait long for hot water. The staff is very friendly and respectful. Breakfast was good and fully stocked. Lobby was clean with plenty of seating. Parking lot is kept clean, lots of parking and well lit. Vending machines were well stocked with many choices. Updates were being made.

I called the motel the day before my check-in to confirm they had my room. The man I talk to told me that I had reserved a handicap room with a very small bed. He told me I should call Expedia and cancel my room and then book it through him Directly and he would upgrade me to a king size room for free. I told him I wasn’t comfortable doing that the next day when I arrived at the property, he told me the same thing. I told him that I had checked in online already, but made me go through the process again When he showed me the room that he was gonna give me I told him I wasn’t happy with it that I wanted to ring with the king size bed. I ended up having to pay him an extra $28 to get a king size bed. The room was dirty. The shower stall was flaking that night when I turned down the bedsheets that were black hairs on the sheets the overall experience was horrible.

Looks like nice budget hotel on the outside but stepping inside gives a very different vibe. The property is not taken care of although the front desk clerk was nice everything went downhill after that. We got in late/ early Saturday night/Sunday morning so when I washed my face and had very low water pressure and no hot water didn’t worry me to much. But when I got up Sunday morning to shower there was no hot water. I called the front desk (it was 6:30am) he came to “fix it” and couldn’t- he was supposed to let management know, I have spoke with the lady who then said to call @ 11, I did and he was horrible to deal with and I will be calling corporate. Not to mention the shower head and faucet about cane out of the wall when we were trying to get hot water.
