Super 8 by Wyndham Jerseyville

My meetings were cancelled due to a covid outbreak of attendees. So had to cancel. However, because i booked thd rooms thru Expedia, i was told i could not get a refund or credit. Very frustrating. Ill be booking with hotels directly from now on.

The room was quiet, clean, and had all the amenities needed for meals as I worked thru the nights.

The stay was good except for the flea we saw on the bed. Apparently, the occupants before we got there had a dog with them. The dog had fleas and left some of the fleas in the room. We asked that the linens be changed and the room cleaned. Unfortunately, we took some fleas home. I immediately washed all of our clothes and thankfully, they are gone. Other then that, the stay was good.

Clean well-kept property. Internet was flakey. Out both mornings. When I told front desk person Sat morning her response “I don’t know what to tell you.” (!!!) When we pointed out that the info sheet in room said if there internet problems to call front desk & they’d get the 24/7 support on it, she said “I guess I can reboot the router.” Which worked. Happened again next morning & when I told front desk that person said “oh, ok - I’ll reboot the router.” Overall though everyone was nice and helpful. Very close to a great diner (Nicks) for breakfast, and a Walmart Super Center and other retail. Would stay again.

The staff was extremely gracious and welcoming.

This is our second stay here. Good hotel for the price.

Just what we needed

Front desk and housekeeping were superb. Breakfast needs improvement and 7 am is an hour too late for people traveling to partake.

hghigh priced for quality of motel.

Usually this hotel is ok, but this time it was terrible. They gave me a room on the ground floor right next to the elevator and the lobby. I couldn't sleep at all in the room, I could hear everything from the elevator, lobby, etc. The desk person was having conversations with people and watching TV a bit loudly at 3am, and I could hear everything clear as day. When I tried to explain I was dissatisfied with the room and ask for a partial refund from the morning manager Jesse (I think...), she LITERALLY yelled at me, talked over me, kind of chastised me for not switching rooms in the middle of the night, and eventually threw my receipt on the counter and told me if I didn't leave she would call the police. Even though I was calm the entire time and was just trying to negotiate a partial refund because the room was unusable. It was probably the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel, and I'd like at least a partial refund, and I will never stay at this hotel again.
