Super 8 by Wyndham Kenmore/Buffalo/Niagara Falls Area

Had reservations for one night for $94.91. Got there with printed paper in hand and was told they canceled my reservation several months prior. Had email from 3 days before arrival saying looking forward to seeing me and I was "BOOKED". Made me pay $341.25 for room and said any other rooms in area were $600-$800 for that night (it was the night before the eclipse). Went in and room was small, toilet dirty, mirror over sink was completely gone and just frame with ligths and electrical wiring showing. Looked online and found motel 8 miles away with much better review ratings for $169.00 total. Went to desk and told them I wasn't happy with what I had been told and how I was treated and showed him room for half the price and asked for a refund and said I wanted to go to other place. Had only been 22 minutes total since originally paying for room and we had done nothing to room. He refused to refund money and said we were stuck there. Called Wyndham customer service. They "reached out to property" and got nowhere as far as getting the $246.84 extra I had to pay back for me and said there was nothing else they could do. Would never go back to this place. STAY AWAY!!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

This is not what I expected from Wyndham! This was looks like a run down establishment for the early 80's. The room was nasty, the sink wouldn't drain, until I reached under and pulled the lever. The walls has holes, along with the carpet, and bed linen. If this was not a in and out stay for me, I would have went to another hotel. The crazy thing is you have to give a $50 cash deposit at check in! Where was that listed? This location shouldn't be available on any platform.

Worst business ever. They refused to honor a reservation made last November with a credit card on it. They wanted to greatly inflate the price for April 8 2024. This is a breach of contract. Do not book here. We drove 2000 miles to visit. Stay away from this place.

It was very dirty toilet was not working I told the front desk they didn't do anything I tried to get money back and go somewhere else

I made reservations in August 2023 so I could see the solar eclipse of April 2024, more than six months ahead of time. Exactly 60 days before my reservation I received three emails and a phone message stating that this Super 8 could not honor my reservation. When I called I could not get a clear reason why my reservation could not be honored at the price I had reserved and I would have to pay $30 more per night. After more than half an hour of pushing for a reason (It was like a Seinfeld episode!), I finally got the manager to admit there was an “event in the area.” When I asked him if he was referring to the eclipse, he finally admitted that was the event. I then told him that the eclipse was the reason I made the reservations more than six months prior and that if he did not know about events happening in his own area that was his fault for not doing his homework, not mine, and he should honor the reservation. He would not. But at this late date there was nothing available in the Buffalo area for the eclipse. So I called corporate office to complain. Corporate put myself and the manager on separate phone lines and the best they would do for me was give me points for some future visit to a Super 8. In short, this Super 8 saw a chance to gouge me for more money simply because they could. This contradicts the entire concept of making a reservation at a set price. I canceled my reservation and wound up choosing a Hilton in a city outside of the totality pathway and will be driving into the totality for the eclipse. And after the way I was treated, I would never do business with this hotel. And, also, considering the way I was treated by corporate, I will avoid any Super 8 in the future.

No refrigerator no microwave Sink not draining Toilet wouldn’t always flush

We checked in early with a staff member that was less than pleasant to interact with. The room is very outdated and felt dirty, the door lock was loose and didn’t feel safe. I convinced myself we would be fine for one night. Upon our return 8hrs later we were unable to get comfortable. The fleece covers were stained and littered with someone else’s long hair, the heater was filthy and barely Worked. It was when my son found a bug on his pillow that appeared to be a baby cockroach or possible bed bug that we pack up our stuff and checked out late at night. This Super 8 doesn’t measure up to any of the other Super 8 experiences I’ve had. I was appalled at the condition of this property for the price it was going for. If you have standards DO NOT Stay here.

Will never stay here again.
