American INN of Orangeburg

I spent only one night here, the place was pretty noisy but besides that my room was clean and comfy. Checking in took a long time, the guy couldn’t find my Expedia reservation and when he finally did he gave me a double king bedroom instead of a double-single bed room. He fixed his mistake when I asked him, but still, he didn’t seem to care too much about being welcoming. Breakfast was poor and nobody was taking care of replacing exhausted food items. This place might be cheap but I think that it’s just worth it picking another one for a couple of bucks more...

Very large room. Nice TV, fridge, microwave. Carpet a little questionable but rest of room clean. Neighborhood okay. Front desk clerk friendly.

Not bad for the price. The location was where I needed to be.

I can't believe this hotel is still in business. The room was discussing, and not to mention the cockroaches!!!

This place had the feel of a charge by the hour motel. Torn curtains, musty smelling, poor repairs made to walls. Bedding and towels all seemed clean, room as a whole appeared clean. Toilet and bathroom floor were clean, but tub was not and had a dead roach in it. The first impressions would have been better if the A/C had been turned on, it was 91 degrees outside and the room was about the same. I have stayed at Super 8's that were very nice, this was not one of them. The Super 8 franchise isn't inspecting it's operators very well.

Walls and ceiling peeling , bathroom need a reno old n nasty looking dusty vents.

Electrical outlet by coffee maker did not work. Walls and toilet was dirty. Dirty towel on the floor at arrival. Overall just old and run down. Other guest were burning papers on a grill.

Hotel room had a very bad musty smell. Gave me a headache. Carpet felt damp. It served the purpose of what I needed.

No one at the front desk for us to check out. We ended up having to leave our room cards on the desk.

Nothing like the photos. Paint peeling off the wall. Smelly room with dirt, bugs, and food in the floors. Mold in the shower. NASTY.
