American INN of Orangeburg

Motel 6 in Orangeburg, SC, was easy to find & there were several eating places within walking distance. I didn't want to get back in my car after driving a long way that day so getting dinner close by & being able to walk was important. Even though this property was in a state of disrepair due to an accident at the main office, my room was still satisfactory. When I discovered that the TV wasn't working, the manager came to my room quickly & resolved the problem.

This hotel is a little run down. If you are looking for a clean place to sleep during a long drive....this is the perfect place. Clean rooms, nice staff. Don’t let the looks fool you :)

First off tried to put us in a room that was occupied. Then get to our room after a 13 hr drive and prepaid ahead of time so couldn't get a refund, the room was the worst room we have ever been in in our lives. Holes in walls, broken toilet seat, no smoke detector (broken a piece on wall a piece on heater/ac) stained carpet , smelly and just the worst ! The sign said newly remodeled ,well maybe 15 yrs or more ago. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE STAY HERE It was a dump!!

Need renovation in the bathroom. Bed was great and clean.

Rooms need to be renovated ASAP and quality of room for the price is ridiculous

It was literally in the middle of the ‘ghetto’ and the room had several holes in the wall, stains all over the sheets and blankets and dirt and other strand things smeared on the walls. Worker was nice though. But I guess you get what you pay for.

Everything was great I loved it wouldn't mind doing it again....

No coffee maker in room or lounge. No shampoo or any amenities other than soap. Bed was comfortable.

The pictures do not reflect what the room is actually like. The staff was extremely rude, the room was dirty including the bathroom. The staff made no apologies for the misleading information.

My expectations were low but the room was very clean. Bathroom was a bit old but that’s no big deal for $55 a night.
