University Inn & Suites Brownsville

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. There were plenty of television channels to watch.

Hotel is located in a old part of town. Not very inviting, actually very intimidating! Would not recommend if you have children or a nice car.

The first day we were there our key didn't work. So we have to tell front desk to let us in. They couldn't get us another key so we got another room next day. The rooms need to be air out they smell stuffy.

This motel is now known as the University Inn and Suites. It is your average lower rent motel that for some reason lost its Super 8 affiliation. It is most convenient to Mexico via two bridges and it is three blocks to Downtown Brownsville with its numerous stores and restaurants, most of them being of the dollar store variety which actually makes for some interesting shopping. Downtown Brownsville is just like Mexico as it is teaming with Mexican shoppers. It is a great place to visit if one has become jaded by the mall experience. It is like going back in time.
