We stayed one night here. The room wasn’t horrible. They definitely need new beds and to update the property. It has t been updated in well over 15 years. The morning breakfast buffet they said runs from 6-10am, we went down around 7:30 and there was no food left. You could make a waffle or have dry cereal (no milk). We ended up going to first watch (walking distance) and they had a great breakfast. If I were to come back to Charleston, WV I would not stay at this hotel again.

The people who worked at the hotel were lovely and we had a great breakfast to get us out the door and on the road Unfortunately, there is barely a lobby for a hotel. There are limited door accesses. The parking was very concerning, and the overall condition of the total disrepair.

Felt unsettling entering empty lobby by side door from dark empty parking lot having uneven ground. Often clerks not visible as enter. No security between entrance and elevator. Remodeled room tidy and bed and bath generally clean but not scrubbed.

Finding the entrance to the hotel was tricky. Not at all user friendly. Definitely needs an upgrade. Signs would help a lot. Neighborhood didn't seem to be the best, several homeless people hanging around. Breakfast area not very clean, nothing was replenished, food pretty much gone before 9, breakfast was supposed to be until 10. On a bright note...staff was was very friendly and helpful.
