Hotel Express

I only stayed 1 night but it was great quiet clean and staff was very friendly

We didn't like anything about it. When we went to the room it clearly hadnt been vacuumed and/or swept properly. It was dead bugs on the floor. Then, when we were watching tv a roach ran across the dresser. On our second day of stay my wife killed a baby scorpion in the room. The iron and ironing board was filthy and broke which i noticed it after handling it. It was so much about this place I could say. In closing we will never stay here again it was my fault for trying to reserve our rooms so late...

The hotel pictured is not the hotel. There is not a functioning pool and the pool in the pictures is not their pool. We got our first from and there were crusty stains on the beds. We switched rooms and the next room has long black hairs everywhere. The towels, the bath tub, and sink. The floors were not vacuumed. The toilets were mildewed. My sister and i had to go buy our own cleaning supplies, towels, blankets, pillows. Our entire family was here in different rooms for a funeral. We slept on shower curtains. Coffee makers were not working. Fridge was dirty. We had already paid to put our entire family here so could not just leave.

Was looking forward to floating in pool after long bike ride on the Chief Ladiga. The pool looked awesome in the website photos. In reality the pool was an empty hole in the ground covered with an ugly metal roof. Bedspread was very worn and torn. Room was as clean as possible given the worn out furnishings.

It was alright, not great but it definitely could have been much worse.

This used to be a good hotel before the people who are running it now took over....the wife is okay...the man is rude....very rude! The rooms are half cleaned...noisy..people running motel put their friends/family in desirable rooms..bbq like it's their mansion instead of a hotel....

This was my husband's and my first trip to Talladega for the NASCAR race. Overall our stay was great, but When i booked, i asked for a non-smoking room. When we arrived, the door sign posted non-smoking but the room reeked of cigarettes wgen we opened the door. This eventually aired out, but perhaps more care in that area. Also, the cleaning person didnt automatically clean, change and restock everything. We had to tell management. This should be addressed. Each time a room is done, the cleaning aide should look to see that all items are restocked. On the positive side, management removed our malfunctioning fridge and replaced it with a good one from the next room. Management was quick to sign us in and was very friendly. Anything we needed he took care of quickly. He just took over this place so not too critical. We will be back next year.

I arrived at the hotel a little earlier than expected. The owner had let me check in earlier due to military obligations. I had walked into the room and the room smelled like weed, the bed had stains all over, and their was mold on it. I had to leave after taking a shower. I told the manager while leaving and I told him I would be back after a certain time. I had came back after my military obligation, and I saw a new manager. She stated that he did not want to change my room and I should of came to him. But the manager said she would change it. I go in the next room and it smelled, had mold on the fridge, the bed had holes in the sheets, stains in the comforter on the Opposite side. The sink was stopped up, the shower also. I think this was the worst hotel to go to.. I never will go here again.
